I feel that if i'm starting to look at watches, i'll be spending some thousands of pounds and a special place in my home.. Here's the only one i have, it features the Mercedes Gullwing 300 SL tacho.

So its 193 past 90 O'Clock - in 1957
very useful.

I know the reason...some of the watches posted here use battery, they're not automatic... The "404 forbidden" was to warn some of us to use new batteries, in order to start posting again :) leg pulling of course..

I'm afraid with you on this one Frank. No offence intended Miles but, to me, it doesnt look very appealing whoever designed it. Too 60s 'space with everything' for me. However, I'm sure it would look good on the wrist of a little green man!

Heathens the pair of you! :D :D

Next you'll be telling me you don't like my next acquisition!

I never gave triangular watches much thought up until this point and now I realise why! IMO, a watch that doesn't have 12 at the top and 6 at the bottom is fundamentally flawed on many levels and your photo illustrates this. I'll stick to watches with round faces but thanks for helping me find a solution to a problem I never knew I had!

Luddite!! :D Toblerone re-invented the chocolate bar and the world is a better place because of it. Kraft took the boring cheese slab and gifted Dairylea upon us. Even Play School saw the light and added a triangle window.

The future may be bright, the future may indeed be orange, but it's most certainly TRIANGULAR.

Bizarrely the village I live in is called Triangle... not buying a triangular watch to go with it though :p

Not for me I'm afraid. IMO, the only things that should go round on a watch face are the hands. Overly complicated with no real benefit for accuracy or IMO, aesthetics. Ok for a novelty item but not for a quality timepiece.

Right, where to begin? Big Toblerone bars tear the sh!t out if the roof of my mouth. When was the last time you went to a restaurant and got Dairylea on the cheese plate? Playschool was never the same with more than 3 windows; round, square and arched was the way it was, for a 6yo anything more was overly complicated as was the Wankel engine and the pyramids. It's a great shape for construction but you don't get triangular bricks. As a shape it has it's limitations and making watches that shape is one of them!
