Looks like I will be able to make it as well! Will be my first auto Italia. Looking forward to it! Hope the weather will be good!

Looks like the weather might be kind after all.

The only problem I have is that my car is filthy and it's currently raining/snowing

As it's been frosty in the mornings recently we'll probably all turn up in salt white cars, like me arriving filthy at Castle Combe after the whole previous day prepping!
I've just been frantically trying to repair the front air dam on the Alfa which recently was viciously assaulted by an unkempt Gloucestershire road.
A mere 2 hour job has so far taken 3 days but I did enjoy the rainbows and watching the snow/hail storms. Someone should invent a repair paste that bonds underwater!
By the way guys, if you value your exhaust/aerodynamic aids it's best to avoid the centre of Brookwood village if it's on your way to Brooklands.

We can always forget Fleet and meet in Tesco car park next to Brooklands and wash our cars.

I did this before for a Brooklands event last year.

I took a bucket and sponge and some hot water and soap and clean water in 2 5L old containers, an aqua blade and a drying rag and it was done in 10 mins as it was just a light dusting of filth later in the day I washed it.

If you simply spray a detailers and wipe it away, especially with salt, you will scratch your car. I only use a spray detailer and wipe in the summer to remove dust later in the day that I washed it.

A timely reminder about the salt, Thanks!

I'm overnighting at Brookwood so will use the manual 'old fashioned jetwash' at the Guildford/Bagshot road crossroads which will also remove the crud and degraded road surface wedged between plastic and metal in the wheel arches/skirts/oil cooler duct etc. which is best removed PDQ.

Hope the weather stays fine for y'all, should be a good day out whatever and looking forward to meeting faces old & new. Not run the test hill in the wet so a damp surface could be interesting with FWD - assuming it will even get off the line 'cos the surface seems to have been laid with a lot of smooth 'pea gravel' in it! Still the original though!!!!

The perks of working from home. I took advantage of the (thus far) dry weather today and gave her a wash. No 6amcar washing for me on Saturday. image.jpg
