Blyton Park track day

Is there any interest in a full day track day at Blyton Park later over summer, with us having exclusive use of the track?

We can have two different track configurations if we wish, one in the morning, and a different one in the afternoon to make it more interesting.

Here's the best bit... Blyton Park do indeed have a noise limit, but it's 95dBA as read by a microphone 20m from the edge of the circuit, instead of the testing at 1m that many track day organisers use. My neighbour uses Blyton to test his single seater historic race car, and has never tripped the limit. I can easily hear him 'testing' it up and down his drive, and on the road out of the village when I'm in my office at home; it's considerably louder than Benny's or MAF's cars.

So, who's in? Budget should be say £100 for the day, depending on numbers.

That sounds like a good day and price Drew.......Should do this instead of Llandow as there has been limited interest...

I thought you'd already done Llandow earlier this year, no?

I think it's a bit more expensive than Llandow, but I also think it's probably a better circuit for the Maseratis. Not sure what the price was for you to hire exclusive use of Llandow with marshalls and ambulance on site, but if we can get 25-30 of us we can make the money work for Blyton.

No Llandow should be end of year but don't think we will get it filled so this may be more popular. Also its only £10 more than Llandow so worth it. Sounds like not far off the same price...we needed 20 to 25 to make it work...

Might be up for it but it's in the **** end of nowhere!

And LLandow is conveniently positioned on your doorstep? It all depends where you are starting from, doesn't it? For instance, if you start in North London, there's sod-all difference. Granted, it's more convenient for those of us who don't actually live in Wales ;)

I'm in!
Done an open pit lane and a full driver training day with just 4 cars at Blyton in the Maser.

I will be there if I changed the car by then but the 6 isn't really suited to track.

Sounds interesting - I am up for it. Wonder if I will have the 3200 back on the road by then?
Where is this place?

I could have a laugh and take the 156; the 4200 is all over the place at the moment in need of much suspension parts I fear!!!

Tricky with being kids summer holiday season, maybe high potential of drop outs depending on the date with family holidays!
Unless very early July before kids break up.

Here is a good video of the circuit last time I was there on a carlimits driver training day.
We were practicing catching severe induced oversteer (jump to 2:30) and I was filming in my friends 997 Turbo.

3.5hr drive there! :-(

Suppose I could go and stay over night and make a weekend of it. What day of the week are you thinking of? sat?

Nope, all the weekends are already booked.

Has to be a weekday, but there's clearly not enough interest for me to arrange one, given that there's only a third of the numbers who were prepared to drive to Llandow.
