Cheap V6 GT

Interesting Matt - in which case that suggests the steering weighting has been lessened to cope with the weight of the V6, entirely likely. Nothing wrong with the handling, just the steering doesn't weight up through a corner like you'd expect. I'll soon get used to it.

My 4200 had this same thing, it was addressed with the GS by partially closing off the steering hose with a clip to give more 'feel'. I might try using wider front tyres at a later date... Good for braking, better for reducing understeer and should weight up the system a little by increasing scrub radius. What's not to like...

Apparently the steering is normal, just a modern car thing. Surprised it doesn't have speed sensitive steering, not a big deal though.

Q2 next week (at cost price!) and new anti-roll bars, should sharpen it up. Then a sports exhaust when I get the chance, it needs a bit of noise...

Lewis most Afla's steering is a bit wooly...Not their strong point.....
