Oh dear, the usual faint praise of "the best alfa in recent memory"

Still looks very promising!

I want one of these, the Jag XE V8 or a C63 as my next car in a couple of years.

Isn't the XE a V6?

Anyway, I like this car and the reviews are OK...but I think I was hoping for more and a true alternative to AMG and BMW M's but it does sound like another almost car from them. But hey first rear drive Alfa for many years we need to be thankful for that. I still like the looks very much.

Is that coming then....that should be a ******* as it's one of the Sports saloon you can buy according the reviews. Put that in it and t should take it to a different level.

Meh. Still happy that I got bored waiting and bought a Ghibli S instead.

Yup. Ghiblis are great. The masses are just starting to realise. Fast forward 3 or 4 years and there will be 50 owners in here talking them up.

Such a shame that there will be no manual option for RHD cars. I was very much looking forward to its arrival but I don't think I would be a buyer of an automatic Quadrifoglio.

I like the idea of the Ghibli but it's just much bigger and heavier than the Guilia, more M5 than M3

As for the auto bit, if you haven't driven a car with a well mapped out ZF8 gearbox, you may worry, but I think they are the dogs ******** for an everyday compromise. Fast changes and very efficient.

I try and avoid manufacturers which don't adjust their cars sufficiently for RHD. For example I would not
touch the 5 series two decades ago as the wipers were LHD only. Happily bought one when they sorted it out on later models.

Ditto the Ghibli, if I had one it would be a DD and I would not take one without AWD. The 'can't engineer it for RHD' argument is just a load of rubbish and if they can't be bothered to design that in what else have the not bothered with?

BMW Mini countryman with the single rear passenger door on the offside only...

Never get me in an Alfa. Poor man's Maser.

Absolutely.

The Italian police use anything that the manufacturers give them. They even have a number of Lambos of various kinds

What car have tested the diesel, gave it 3 stars and wrote this misleading piece of drivel...

The switch from front- to rear-wheel drive allows the car to sit more comfortably next to executive saloon rivals, such as the Audi A4, BMW 3 Series and Mercedes C-Class than the old 159 did,
