I spoke to James at Graypaul about the 7 year service agreement and his thought was that it would be extended to Maserati, though he didn't know when.

HAPPY DAYS AHEAD FOR ANYONE AFTER A NEW OR OWNED TRIDENT. :D

what was the MC Stradale like then Miles? anything tasty in at Graypaul??

It wasn't at Graypaul, but at Castle Donington.

The Stradale was truly something else. Now I measure my life pre driving a Stradale and post driving a Stradale. Awesome piece of kit. Mind you the MC Shift gave it a good run for it's money.

I'll elaborate when I get time.

most important question, would you buy an MC Stradale.

I've been mulling that one since driving it Adam. To be honest, the Stradale is all dressed up with nowhere to go. If it goes anywhere near other track-focused cars, it'll be found wanting as it's too big and too heavy, but if you want a Maserati above any other marque, and want something that'll get you around a track more quickly than any other Trident, then the Stradale is for you. I do place myself into this latter group, as I have no interest in any of the German metal, but my quandary lies in the only slight differences between the MC Shift and the Stradale. The MC Shift is certainly the more 'real life' friendly car, albeit lacking in peak performance and handling.

Thats great news Miles....Not that I will ever need it....But it is the car and not the owner so if the car is sold the freeservice package goes with it I believe.

Yep, the service agreement stays with the car, so this will benefit second and third owners as well.

The scheme is obviously designed to keep the cars in the dealer network for longer, as most owners I would think currently seek out an indi' as soon as the warranty is up. All those little extra advisories that seem to come to light during the service?.........Hmmmm?

It does smack of Fiat providing a financial prop to what is after all a very specialist, low volume dealer netwrork.

thats what i was saying miles.....those little advisories that only they can do as an indie would void the warranty will be where they get their money back, not counting the over priced ferraris on sale compared to lambo.......

Nail on the head Miles......I love the Stradale but it's too big to be an truely great track car I'm sure and as such wasted on our roads as you just can nor get any where near its limits I'm sure.......IT is truely lovely though...

Yeah...as Miles said....they are now in complete control of the market....new and 2nd hand....a kick in the teeth for all our indies who also look after the Masers for us...a clever ruse to keep that umbilical cord firmly attached and no doubt dealer driven!
