HOLY THREAD RESURRECTION BATMAN! Back to life!!

Car has been with Alfacraft for a while as he's been poking round seeing how it is, what has been done and what can be done. Report is that it's a top notch job, 'the guy really knew what he was doing' so that's great news. Decided to keep the Momos on there and get some good Yoko tyres for them, plenty of grip and wil keep a nice ride quality with the 14" diameter. Car has the Alfa lowering kit and is on new Bilstein shocks so no changes needed there. Running two lovely twin-choke Dellorto carbs with K&N filters and even a little K&N on the breather pipe. Nothing missed out.

Upcoming work:
Tarox drilled dics and pads all round
Full 60mm sports exhaust system from manifolds back
A pair of fast road cams
Electronic distributor
Inertia reel setbelts
Leather front seats and a few bits of trim here and there

Upshot will be a quick little car making about 160-170bhp with great roadholding which should make a fantastic induction and exhaust noise. Bits like a 12V socket hodden away for the satnav and a CD player under the dash will make it more useable as well. Going to be a proper little sports car when it's done will give some modern stuff a run for it's money after that lot! I think it may deserve a couple of little Cloverleaf badges after all that lot anyway :boss:

Unfortunately it means the GT stays standard but the Spider is obviously the far more special car. The GT is a really nice runabout and if I see a second hand exhaust I will jump on it.

Thanks Gents and you're right Frank - as soon as we get her back we'll nip down to Brooklands and get some photos on site; lovely atmosphere there and as a 1) a member and 2) having a histroric vehicle I get to nip in and park up at the clubhouse, classic petrol pumps for photos and so. Maybe even the Concorde there, same period after all!

If we do the Classic Restoration visit, fancy driving yours out as well Enzo? Feels only right taking classic vehicles to a classic restorer! I would bring it to Hayes on Sunday but it won't be back...
