S2000 is a great convertible rear wheel drive with a great engine, if I ever sold the Maser it is where I would go.

The issue is that buying a convertible can give a very poor projection of the owner, so how about we have a cool wall:

Lokks like i'm headed for the same ridicule as phil , i'm on the train going to look at a MX5 , the seller inspired that much confidence I have cash in my pocket and i've paid the £17 to add it on to my policy

Bit of a compromise as mrs wack likes the mk3 but it is a 2.0 sport

Downside I forgot my bose headphones so im listening on a set of poundlands finest, it's like being poked in the ear with a fork

I will check the kit thanks , scissors are expensive.

Seriously though , I love the 4200 but I don't enjoy driving it as much as I did the WRX , the 4200 has a lot more power but the WRX inspired total confidence

Never once did I put it into a bend wondering if I was going to make it

I've only ever had that much confidence in 2 other cars, a 205 GTi and a MX5

I do own a pinkish shirt I've never worn though , perhaps the day cometh

The MX5 is a cracking car, it does have a stereotype whiff about it though which is probably unfounded given most I see are driven by middle age men.....

You could always go for the red trousers, cravat and string back driving gloves look if you prefer wack :)

But being serious for a moment. Enjoy the new car. Hairdressing image aside they always get great reviews for being a well planted drivers car. Enjoy :)

Seriously anyone dissing an MX-5 is wrong, drive one, they are proper quality handling cars! Lighweight, brilliant Chassis, Rear driven and reliable. I'd honestly never not own one now so classic they are.
