Frank,
Are you going to make up new wiring looms now you have the old ones out, it might be an idea as the wiring is obviously old and wire is cheap enough..??

Frank,
The only issue with old wiring is that it can get brittle and break. You can buy several rolls of suitable cable all different colours and make up a new loom whilst side by side with the old one, then tape it all together. It's only an idea and may save electrical faults in the future. Once old cable is moved around it can start to go.

Time to come up with your own colour code system then Frank, or if you want to keep it 'authentic' some serious labelling!

Frank,
Is that original then, they had no colour coding, or has someone changed stuff over the years..?? If you used colour coded cable it would make rewiring a lot easier. You would need to make up a printed record of the codes to go with the car (Electrical Schematic Codes), you can do that on the PC. I can get you rolls of cable at trade in various colours, you can also get now the super flexible cable, all you need is the core diameter to give an idea of the current handling and decide what coating, ordinary, smokeless etc. and off you go. Then you just need a thick flexible tape to wrap the new loom and all done.

Wow, looking good Frank, actually it is in a lot better shape than imagined at first glance.

One Question, in No.31 what is the black handle hanging under the dash, is that the handbrake or headlight dip?

Wow Frank,

Been away busy with work stuff and I come back to some great progress. This is all good auto-****. Nothing like peeling off the layers dude !

Hope you keep your focus and see this to the end, the car will have some great character when finished. This is from when Lancias were properly built with great technology. Some years back I saw a B24 spider that was being put back together, a beautiful car.

What is the original spec on the car, i.e. colour interior etc?

It was a burgundy red......not very appealing and a beige West of England cloth interior......all very sober!!
