Did you get diverted by the A12 closure at Colchester? They were closing it but hadn't quite finished coning it off at about 9:40. My satnav was aware of the diversion and was taking me off at the A133. However, the cars ahead all nipped back onto lanes 2 & 3 so I chanced it with them and had a clear run. Saved about 15 mins.

Got a photo of your car, but didn't get to say hello - maybe next time.

We went M11/A11 and had no holdups at all fortunately.

Fantastic meet, the best turnout yet. Great to see a lot of new faces (glad to see we're all easy enough to get on with!) and most of the old ones (Benny aside, naturally). I left the Ace and was home in 20 minutes after a rather 'spirited' drive back. I love that barmy yellow machine!

Good turn out lads.

A3 shut on the way home, had enough of that road after 3.5hrs on it today after they shut it due to an accident.

Until next time.
The M3 southbound 2-4 was closing just as I got on it, pretty lucky really as I'd have to resort to the A31!

Shhhh! You're giving away our secrets :)

Walked in the door a few minutes after 11, so a pretty good run back (2 1/2 hours) now the car's running properly again. Had a cel (knock sensor, bank 2) for half the trip down which decided to go away when we stopped for a cuppa then ran perfectly for the rest of the journey there and back. Good to meet up and chat to you guys. Apologies to anyone I didn't get around to, but we had a pretty big turnout.

:) I was home in 30mins non stop all the way, took the M25 for a blast. I very much liked your interior and thanks for the heads up on turning over the engine.

What did he tell you? Wait for all lights to go out before cranking?

In the cold it starts first time 50/50, so maybe engine flooding with petrol so something to check possibly pump. It used to take 3-4 attempts ever since I had it, so it's got much better after the last overhaul. Just got used to it, was to good talk about and hear some say it should always start first time.

Definitely. Check your starter motor too, they can weaken due to the high temps and location in the Vee.

We got there and A3 and M3 where closed ! what F**king Bellend makes that decision !! And its not the first time . i mean it does nt take much brain power to shut one or the other for road works and leave one open

Quality day. Almost ended in tears when the bus pulled out in front of MAF and I managed to swerve round him at the last second! Fortunately there was an empty lane next to him!
Think I might have to upgrade the pads to something with a bit more bite!

The bus driver made an 'interesting' manoeuvre across 4 or 5 lanes on the Hanger Lane gyratory and seemed to think that he could stop traffic with his hand out of the window. Luckily my SM discs and yellow stuff pads were easily up to the job of stopping suddenly. I had a minor palpitation as I looked in my rear view mirror and saw Geoff's JRG wagon heading towards me under hard acceleration!

Many are prepared to travel great distances for such a fine dining experience.

Thanks for bringing my new FF along, we really must get round to organising the date for me to take ownership!

The donut king was a jealous wannabe who clearly wasn't allowed into the car park. It did sound good, though, and the donuts were quite impressive.

To show their gratitude would you please ask if I can borrow their waitress for the weekend?!

My discs are fairly new (end of last year) so I'll order in some yellow stuff pads, to see if they make a difference.

Is it worth doing front and rear? or just fronts?

Although the traffic was a massive pain in the rear yesterday, it was a great outing, Ace was buzzing when we all got there.

What happened to the 35 AO cars that were supposed to be attending???

It was wall to wall Maseratis from the front door, all the way along and round to the car park entrance, a great effort.

Barrie, that chat will have to wait till another time, I could always scoot down to Dorset for lunch if your up for it...Egg 'n' chips will suffice :)

I guess the AO lot got fed up of having to park outside due to the ever so common Maserati clogging up the car park!

Who's was the QP4 there?

Yep i feel a bit worn out today after Matt and is detour around the B roads of the south of England yesterday .

Topped off with a sideways full throttle drift around my local motorway roundabout, straight past three police cars ! Luckily two of the plods just stared at me and then turned back to the upside down Saxo in the ditch that seemed to be more important ;P
