my 2006 4.2 QP best is 27mpg. And only with cruise set in 50mph M1 restriction AND after resetting the trip.I can get 24mpg from the GS on a gentle run
Isn’t that what we all do.my 2006 4.2 QP best is 27mpg. And only with cruise set in 50mph M1 restriction AND after resetting the trip.
The counterpoint was arriving at the NEC to offer "dream rides". The mpg was notional for the next 7 hours.
Point is I really don't care about overall mpg. This is my daily sh1tter so goes everywhere, even the tip. Use full throttle + sport on every trip once warmed up. The car is also double glazed and leather lined which enables effortless cruises in serene conditions. When I want the noise I have to slow down and open the windows to hear otherwise it is left behind. If I want constant noise or stimulation on long trips there is always music or podcasts.
Isn’t that what we all do.
Maybe not judging by some comments. Guess there is mix of daily driver and special event cars. Mine happens to be both
Why wear the itchy socks when you have silk pair?
We had a better Sunday drinking single malt and relaxing in the spa..Pay, amateur! 200 miles? That's just halfway. Try Dumbarton to Surrey hills in one go, no stops for fuel or pee. After doing Fort William to Dumbarton earlier in the morning.
That's a Sunday drive.
great23 mpg
You only did 5 miles from refilling so that figure is cheating.
was that in Ice mode?
Well re: GSM it was a struggle finding one that did 2G, bought that SIM from ASDA Holyhead near the port on my way to Dublin. Got a VOXI one now, costs buttons and works in EU no extra charges. Having said that I never called anyone on it nor received a call! What's the best was of doing that, diverting 'proper' numbers too it for the duration of a trip?was that in Ice mode?
Nice to see you seeing it real, did you pop to Asda for the GSM chip

Not ICE mode, or maybe I'd have got 70mpg! Was in 6th all the way so doubt it would make any difference.
That run, although short was roughly from White Rose M62 exit to Rothwell exit, flat, smart signs on 50mph mostly so we thought we'd see what mpg we were doing. Shows what's possible I reckon I could get to Hull at that speed, no traffic and get same result. Be dead boring though.
I was heading for Crofton!"dead boring". the drive or destination? I am from Cottingham.
