Not happy paying what (for example a lot of self catering places seem to be charging) OTT.
Really sorry your plans have been scuppered, hopefully you will find a suitable alternative. But you do highlight a very valid point that those who have not made the profit they did last year are now taking advantage of the situation and ripping people off this year. This hasn’t been helped by the government making it so difficult to travel abroad, or should I say so expensive. In my mind the whole thing has been about forcing the average person to spend their money in the UK, But the UK service providers have now taken advantage of the situation and now it’s very
difficult for the average person who holidayed in the UK last year to do so this year.

Had a conversation about this very subject last week.
I can also see the places trying to keep the over inflated prices next year as well based on the fact that people are paying them this year.
Short sighted imho as by next year hopefully the usual european vacation spots will be back in full swing and it will be cheaper to go abroad again than stay in the UK.
Its a very simplistic view but can you imagine if all the pubs , restaurants and physical non essential shops that have been closed during the lock downs doubled their prices to recoup lost trade.
Utter micky take by certain business sectors.
