It will shrink around you, you can fairly hustle them along. As to the other person's mpg question, I'll be interested to hear your experiences. 11 - 17mpg is my usual .

What does she go like Darren and what mpg did you get ?
I didn't fill it up , he'd put half a tank in it which said 212 miles range so I put another 25l in , got back to warrington with 140 miles range ⅓ tank left

I was driving it at 60 until I got bored around Lancaster, I've not heard it start from cold as he'd driven it to Glasgow but it sounds nice , that back box wants changing though.

It needs more than a Saturday morning on the ramp , there's a slight clunking when turning right , like a CV joint , shudder on the brakes at speed , one of the back plates is catching on the rear disc , not all the time though

It needs some paint on both rear wings and the tailgate then there's all the HDC problems
Abs sensor has been suggested as hdc, abs, traction control and speedo all use the abs sensor and none of them are working , the suspension is on low

It goes really well , the TD6 just made more noise when you booted it , this one just goes , gear changes are smooth , kickdown works as does the supercharger

I've only had it since 10am and I've already bought some led rear lights for it because one of the lenses has a crack , ffs

I'll put it in for a test on Saturday to see what that throws up , don't think I'll be driving it home though

@Wack61 Don't tell me you bought it without a PPI mate ;)
We might have to put you in the Cutlery Draw.

£2450 , I know it needs work , it's a range rover , I could've spent 8k on one and still be here after 3 weeks of ownership

Found the service book today , 3 previous owners , fully stamped from new to September 21

The good news is the back RH corner needs a disc and a caliper so my first guess is going to be nsr abs sensor and ring that's causing the hdc problem

It's pretty obvious it's not been used for months

Can you get any live data as that doesn't really give much unless the ECU is known for failing ?
Smart car sort of fixed itself, I disconnected the battery , left it for 10 minutes and business as usual when I reconnected it it

The smart is set up to tow behind the motorhome , if I tow it behind the Range Rover i'm sure it'll make social media , see I told you, unreliable, that one has a lifeboat on the back

Your Range Rover is supercharged? Wonder how fast a Smart can go?

Lack of use probably. I needed drop links and a couple of other bushes last year, as the potholed country tracks took their toll, other than that been problem free for almost four years! :)

This is the weirdest thread on here. People freak out about a Maserati clutch that might one day cost them money, or variators that don't really do much but drool over Land Rover products which are utter rubbish. You'd be better spending a couple of grand at a dominatrix than pouring it into the brand with the worst build quality known to man.

I've owned 2 range rovers, one of them tried to kill me (really, I needed 3 stiches when the rear view mirrow fell off and split my eye open) and the 2nd one drove like a boat and cost a grand every 3 months or so for something or another.

Masochists, the lot of you.

Its the lure of so much metal for so little money
I think I'd sooner buy one for 2-3k and maybe have to spend £1000 to get it running right than 5-6k on one supposedly ok , it's a RR , might as well buy one already broke
My costs so far
£2450 car
£140 train fare & fuel home
2 Rear discs, a caliper , fitting kit ,set of pads, Brake pad sensor £145
Front abs sensor £66
Mot test £40
I think maybe £250 Labour provided the abs sensor turns the dash lights off
£3100

Right up to the moment it needs the air suspension fixed or a relay that’s been engineered to only be accessible with the body off the chassis. They are cheap for a reason. You can get one for sub a grand at the auctions because the trade don’t go near them. I get the allure, believe me, but there is no getting away from them being ****.

lf you get it working properly, get rid before it bites you. It will.

You missed that really strange welly-fetish bit a few pages back. What the actual ****, etc.

The air suspension is already broke but it's all connected to the abs sensors.

I'm thinking positive, if I had 10k in one I'd be worried but 3k , nah I'll just keep it until something big goes pop then sell it for spares for £1000
