My Club,Stirling and District Classic Car Club have just announced the date for this years show, which will be on Sunday 12th May 2024. At Bridge of Allan, near Stirling.

It is fast becoming one of the premier car show in Scotland with over 700 hundred cars, and over 47 car clubs in attendance last year.

Total so far in moneys raised for Charities by this event is over £110.000.

I will add more Scottish car events as they become available,Such as the Alfa Romeo Car Club event called the Scottish Italian Car day held at Hopetoun House near Edinburgh On the 26th of May 2024.(Italian cars only)

It features a wide range of Italian Exotica Alfa's Ferrari's Maserati Etc.(I would love to go and show at this event, but there are only limited spaces. But i will try!)
The first 2 photos are from last years Stirling meet. And the rest are from Hopetoun House.

Hope so too Allan ,i think i may be roped in to do some car directing and general dogs body at the Stirling show.As for Hopetoun House its in the hands of the gods as to getting a ticket.
But on a positive note am looking forward to Glams and Glenisla amoung others. By the way will you be showing any of your cars at any of the shows this year?

I’ve been to Hopetoun the last couple of years with my GranTurismo and the chat is really good. Like Allan getting a ticket has been easy enough.

Glamis is always very interesting with a massive range of cars. I tend to go in the Maser or my old TT Roadster but don’t show. There was a 4200 Coupe from SM there a couple of years ago but Maser participation is usually nil. Hopefully see you at one of the events.

I was at Glams last year with my Spyder Bob, and met Allan there.Perhaps this thread will generate some Scottish interest to other Scottish Maserati owners, there must be a lot out there.
Perhaps all is needed is a bit of encouragement for owners to go to these shows and meet other members. English members are way ahead of us in that respect.

We did have a couple of run outs over the years, Blair Atholl springs to mind.

I suppose long standing members have already been there and worn the T shirt. Still a gentle dig with a cattle prod wont do any harm ,and see if some of the Scottish Maserati owners can be resusitated!

I expect that was mine, Sunday only, on the stand neighbouring Club Lotus, and only because my Lotus blew it’s header tank on the Saturday

I’ll be at Glamis, but in the Elise and I’d like to be at Hopetoun, but it’s clashed with holidays a couple of times. The Stirling site looks good too, will try to remember this thread :)

12th May is the same day as Porsche in the Glen, which will drag a lot of people away. Just so you know.

I am surprised that the governing body that oversees these events has allowed this to happen. Unless of course their is so many clubs trying to find dates they have had to double up on some days.

However I do not think it will make much of a difference, what does make a difference is the weather.

Are there any events early September? My husband and I are coming to Scotland (Inverness to Edinburgh) for the first couple weeks of September, from Texas, USA and would love to attend a show. We own a hot rod shop here in Texas, Bully Rods. I am a Jaguar enthusiast (old and new) but love most things with an engine, whereas my husband loves anything pre-70's for the most part.

Thanks for any help.

Hi the full events calendar for the car show year of 2024 is not out yet,and when it is published I will update the page.

As for Hot Rod here on the Forum it usually means some part of a Maserati engine that has overheated and disintegrated!

Welcome. If you come over to St Andrews (worth a trip) then try this meet, the first Sunday of every month. I’ve been and there is a wide range of cars that might appeal:
