So they are telling people to get tested. Where I wonder?Coronavirus: School closes after pupils show 'flu-like symptoms'
Some pupils and staff had been sent home :: School is now encouraging anyone who went on a skiing trip to get tested for Coronaviruswww.google.co.uk
This is unbelievable!!!!Why is the WHO not declaring this a pandemic.
It walks like one, sneezes, wheezes, sweats and coughs like one all over the globe.
America is in total denial about what is happening here. CDC has only tested 400 people so no wonder they’re not announcing outbreak cases.
I’ve seen the social unrest in China and it ain’t pretty.......if that ever occurs in the US then all those millions of assault rifles etc are gonna be put to some use especially if the situation is ‘desperate’ in certain locations.
Wild West.
Just checked the published stats and it actually suggests a 3% mortality rate for coronavirus but it's still no where near the level of SARS. I've also just seen pictures of supermarkets in Italy devoid of pasta, tinned food etc as panic buying sets in. This is becoming a crazy world and it won't be long before the same kind of public reaction hits other countries..... including the UK. Complete and utter madness....
Correct, but I saw on the Internet today that Professor Haung Jinhai from Tianjin university in China has developed an oral vaccine. It says He has already taken 4 doses without any side effects. Except for the urge to hang upside down in a cave I suppose. To be honest I have been confronted with this for a little bit longer than most, due to spending so much time in the Far East. My honest advice would be not to panic but definitely, most definitely, follow the advice of the health advisories and sanitise your hands even after using a shopping trolley, don’t hold hand rails, door handles etc if safe not to, do not be embarrassed to wear a N95 mask and keep unnecessary contact to a minimum. The wife is now only concerned about a possible shortage of Prosecco. As far as travelling abroad, life must go on. But take some precautions that you may have scorned a month ago!It will be declared a pandemic by next week, it is at the tipping point right now.
the problem is being a virus it needs a specific anti-viral developing and atm they have nothing only generic ones that will solve nothing. They are really working to get one and I’m sure within 6 months they will have it cracked; it may just be too late by then.
A statistic for you: At any moment there are over 1.25 million people in the air around the world
Not it it spreads now but how well are you able to cope with it? How many elderly or infirm relatives will you take out with it when you get it?
the biggy: What when it mutates???
If you believe the Chinese data........reports crematoriums have been working 24/7 with some burning out due to overuse. Apparantly they normally need 30mins to cool down between each body....Just checked the published stats and it actually suggests a 3% mortality rate for coronavirus but it's still no where near the level of SARS. I've also just seen pictures of supermarkets in Italy devoid of pasta, tinned food etc as panic buying sets in. This is becoming a crazy world and it won't be long before the same kind of public reaction hits other countries..... including the UK. Complete and utter madness....
Don’t forget your long like milk, powdered eggs.Well had it on decent authority that it is on National Rail now at Kings cross with a carriage shut down and tested...

Don’t forget your long like milk, powdered eggs.
Yep hence Wattie and I loading up now with food/suoplies before the news in the coming days that there are now 1000’s of cases in the UK. The difference between this and SARS is that COVID-19 is Asymptomatic meaning carriers will not show symptoms so containment is virtually impossible. SARS and MERS had a higher fatality rate as did H1N1 but once someone had the symptoms and could be isolated it meant that it was much easier to contain. Secondary infection is much easier too via both nasal and the eyes membrane so masks are not sufficient. The other danger is that there is concerns of it mutating and also reinfection rates appear to be increasing in China where morbidity rates seem to increase exponentially!!!
Ahh. Tins of rice pud!! Got tinned fruit and veg in war chest. Will add more tomorrow. Loads of pasta, rice, beans etc etc. Clearing shite stuff out of freezer tomo for meat etc. Nowt we won’t use so if not needed, hey ho!Got it, UHT, Angel delight! Rice pudding, fresh fruit! It’s quite refreshing to know Im not the only other ‘raving looney’ on the forum. I reckon my wine bet with Catman is looking well on course (unfortunately).
This is ‘cat’ astrophic for the world.
Amazon.....Aldi, Lidl, I suspect...come in a tin...Powdered eggs, good call, where would we get them......
It’s been reported that severe cases of Covid19 have required up to 3 weeks on a respirator. You and I both know the stock markets and how sentiment and fear control many aspects of it... this is no different. Once the NHS is stretched with only 100 cases it will snowball out of control and once mass panic sets in that will be it...
