Hi Nick, that does not look as bad as my Series 3 Sportwagon when I had to scrap her at 189,000 miles. At least she will be very strong when sorted. Nik says you can have any bits off the series 3 that could fit if you are quick

Work has started, petrol tank is out, and the brake lines are being removed, got to wait a week while the n/s overly expensive outside sill is sent from Cyprus -

Putting discs on the rear is hard. Well trying to find the parts anyway. Idea is a European model as they had rear discs but no abs. You can get p4 rear axle and drop that in but then you have to deal with the abs
So I'm lead to believe. Only for it to look good. Rear hardly do anything anyway

You are right - rears don't do a lot, I had a 145 cloverleaf and the discs and pads needed changing regularly because of rusting from lack of use, drums just look c@&p:)

Correct, the rear disc setup from a European spec car is a straight fit, all 2wd cars fitted with rear discs had ABS, there were no non-ABS versions with rear discs other than the P4 for which ABS was an option in LHD markets. ABS was never available on any version for RHD markets as it was too difficult to engineer. You are right, some of the parts from a 2wd abs car are very difficult to find, discs calipers, pads etc are pretty easy but the all important stub axles are almost impossible to find.

I think to be honest it is a freebie as he is crushing the shell. I will be out and about Saturday so maybe we can meet or perhaps on Sunday. I'll give you a call when it's been recovered
