Brands Hatch Festival Italia - Driver and Parade Lap Thread

Hi Phil,

I'm awfully sorry, but it looks like I'm going to have to pull out. My car is still in at Joe Macari as they cannot source a replacement A/C compressor until next week (see my A/C failed thread from 2 weeks ago). I've even asked Zep but no response so far.

They tried to de-gas the system to take the load of the pump and just let the pulley spin, to allow me to run it without the A/C, but the compressor bearing is making an increasingly bad noise, pointing to the fact the bearing is badly damaged and heading toward a siezure. If it siezes and the belt snaps, it takes out the power steering plus other things and they said the risk is too great to drive it. So I'm grounded, sans motor :-(

If anyone else wants my stand ticket, let me know, send me your address and I'll post it out before last post tomorrow so it will arive Saturday.

Gutted.... :-(

' Course you do. You'll be amazed how easily any over-painting comes off with a Stanley blade. I suggest painting horizontally at first and then running the brush vertically to smooth out the inevitable brush marks.

What are you painting Phil? I've used that on my calipers with good results. Only for touching up chips though, not large areas.

I am a bit late to the party here ....

I have a ticket already but need somewhere friendly to park !

As piffle has the ghibli angle covered will bring the guara instead of the cup.

The other large Italian clubs are not as friendly.
