Brooklands New Years Day meet

Yes, been several times. It's an excellent meeting, usually very well attended - did not go last year as the floods were still around, but previous year it was as busy as any summer meeting, lots of interesting stuff and of course a great venue. I will probably be there this year, but note there is no reserved parking for Maseratis (the Club never appears), focus is on classics (by which they seem to mean pre 1976 or so) plus "interesting or special younger vehicles, including supercars". http://www.brooklandsmuseum.com/index.php?/events/details/new-years-day-gathering4/

Thanks - it seems like it is worth a trip. I'll look out for your QP, assuming I feel up for a New Years Day drive. Often the roads are pretty quiet...

Anybody else want to hit the road and start the New Year as you mean to go on?

Good! Relating to the thread on “is a QP a supercar” (and I personally don’t think a QP is!): I got a bit more clarification from Brooklands - their standard e mail says “entry into the Museum site is Pre 1984 (Prefix "B"), Supercars, and pre-booked Car Clubs, all other parking is in the Heights next door to the Museum” – but when I e-mailed this morning to ask about QP parking I was told I was more than welcome at the Campbell Gate…

Very nice qp you have there. You arrived just after me and I was parked on the bank just by the entrance but had to shoot off a5 11.30. Spotted 2 GS and a GT but it was very thin on the ground for Massers.

Hilts sorry I missed you, saw a couple of GS (I assume one of them yours) and a 4200 , though didn't catch up with the drivers, but no other Masers. Left just after lunch, lots of people leaving then - it was a good meeting but weather a bit dismal!

A great day out - what a range of cars, bikes and planes! The history of the place is fascinating. I spotted your MC Victory - the first one I've seen and a real beauty it is, and Norman's immaculate QP. Had a good chat with a fellow 42 owner who may now be checking out our Forum. I left just after the parade at 1pm. I think I might come back next year with other members of the family.
