Mrs1963 used to be the depot safety/compliance manager at snetterton in Norfolk. You wouldn’t believe some of the things that happened to vans. For example; brand new sprinter hired in with 200miles on the clock and given to a supposed experienced agency driver. Said driver took it under a low bridge and peeled the roof off like a tin of sardines.
I spoke to a guy that was a depot manager for a parcel company, must be 30 years ago the depot was at the top of a hill with a roundabout at the bottom
An agency driver came to collect a fully loaded artic , Billy big balls , knew everything, not long passed his test
Set off down the hill but left the braking too late and couldn't change down , straight over the roundabout and on its side , he managed about ½ a mile in his first and probably last agency job
