Every marque has its golden age.

I'd like to think that I had an Alfa and a Maser during their respective golden ages.

With the BRIC's all tanking I guess he sees the good old US of A as his get out of jail card. Can't hide behind Ferrari revenue anymore, so time will quickly tell.

Interesting article. Thanks for posting.

Don't agree with Marchionne extending Ferrari's product lines outside the one which it was built on.

Maybe bastardizing the brand is going a bit too far in the scramble for profits.

But otherwise, IMO his business strategy is sound.

If the money's not there to build the high end stuff just yet, it's not there.

Sadly Ferrari have made more money out of non-automotive products for years. Their biggest, most profitable department is their licensing division, closely followed by their legal department.

Absolutely. Think we all are aware of that. Disappointing it will continue.

Still, a nicer proposition compared to where Maserati finds itself unfortunately.

Same for harley Davidson, except their bikes are truly awful but they sell bucket loads of aftershave, t-shirts and rugged personalities to fat balding men.

Btw, I noticed a lot of Ferrari watches in airport duty free in Mexico City...
