Hi guys and gals,

We over in the Yorkshire Regional Section of alfaowner.com are in the planning stages of organising a rolling road day at RS Tuning in Leeds for a Saturday in February once Christmas is out of the way.

The date isn't set yet as we need at least 10 cars to get the event up and running at this stage so we are extending an invite to other italian car owners to try to make the day a true italian power fest.

If you are interested in coming in coming along please can you add your name and car to the list being formed here

http://www.alfaowner.com/Forum/yorkshire/358087-rolling-road-saturday-morning-meet.html

Thanks for reading and hope some of you guys can make it.

:)

Final Details are now up on the thread over at AlfaOwner, 9am meeting at Mcdonalds on Kirkstall Road in Leeds to get over to RS Tuning for 9:30am

Hope some northern Maseratista can make it to watch MJ on the rollers or even have a go themselves.

:)

Should be good!
If allowed(!) and time...a good friend of mine might pop over with his 997 Turbo...he did used to own a Lancia Delta 1.5 when we where at school together!

Change of plan means that I am now going to be at home so I'll unwrap the Ghibli and see you at Macdonalds. I'd be interested to see how many horses have died in 20 years.

Isn't there a couple of screws you can turn, to up the boost...to make up for loses elsewhere!!
Should be a good day, the forecast is presently dry and cold, good for power!

Excellent :) if it's lost some you might be in with a chance of winning a prize, admittedly they aren't very good prizes but you'll still be a winner :D

Mike and Arfa, great to meet you both today and hope you can make it to a northern Italian car night event in brighouse sometime :)

Both of your Maserati's are beautiful examples.

Thanks for the invite Sean, good day...for some (you can explain!)

Produced 389 BHP (book 385 BHP) and 350 FtLb (book 332) so slightly up on official book figures, completely stock apart from rear Larini's.
Happy about that for a 10 year old car, everything must be working correctly!

YouTube clip below, the microphone could not cope with the larini's!

Well done, Mike. Interesting that Maserati seem to under quote their power figures.

C

I don't think that's the case, there are always going to be percentage differences with any engine, I've seen this before with the 3.2 V6 Bussone Engines in GTA's they can be anywhere from 240bhp to 260bhp as standard and Alfa state they are 250bhp.

The larger the engine and performance the bigger these percentage differences look.

I've uploaded the results from the day and you can see the % differences based on quoted and measured figures, the RS Tuning RR is widely known to be a very honest one, you wont get inflated figures there to massage your ego, just the facts, as was the case for my poor Brera. :(
