London Motor Museum Visted. Dissapointing Maser support.

Hi All

I was there and met Paul and Enzo. Nice chat guys thanks and great cars. Also met Martin who had a lovely ( Ghilbi ..spelling ! ) and may join SM. Great weather but only two 3200's and no other masers ! What happened to you all ? I was expecting a few more masers to turn up? Hello to the 3200 who joined me on the M25 ( light blue - Reg: T2- ??? ) Followed them thinking they were heading that way but lost them somewhere on the M4 . Did not see them there. I'll claim that one as a " Spotted "

Venue welcome was very nice with tea on the front lawn. Museum display cars ranged from Batmans car, Convertible Ghost, Bentley's, Aston Martin, plenty of old Yanks and the SSC.

I must say I was surprised at the venue's location. Without the help of the neighbouring premises there is only parking for 10 cars at the front of house. Its park around the back or on the tight surburban road. Don't know where you would find space for 200 visiting cars.. This would deter me from going again on a busy day. Anyway a nice day out and good luck to the Museum in the future though If they ever move again they should consider a better location with great parking for vistors showing cars.

Regards
Paul

Was quite an amazing sound, I could physically feel my eardrums vibrating... Funny to see them put on ear defenders with an intercom system just to drive home - makes you realise that louder isn't always better!

Good day out, I got the feeling the owner got caught on the hop and was only expecting a few cars... not a bad turn out of machinery, Loz you would have loved the Spykers!

Welcome to new Paul as well!

Thanks Marcos

Love the Aston. Would take that over the Spyker any day. Did you like the matt black Aston in the Museum?

The matt black car wasn't very nice at all, even worse was the gold monstrosity, both very tatty, leggy early cars with basic spec. They reeked of 'second-rate footballer'. DB9s shouldn't be messed with too much, they don't suit it. V8 Vantages can take it a little bit better.

The gold one has been for sale for ever, it was originally up at £90k!! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LHD-2005-...8702015?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item2eb6ffa1bf

Pull the ghastly two-tone gold wrap off and it's worth £35k privately on a good day for someone who needs to buy a very early and cheap car. Leave the wrap on... it is utterly unsaleable!

Hi Marcos

Yes there are some cars you just don't touch. Example: There are some hidious Bentley Conti's on the road where the owners have gone OTT. ( Footballers take note )

Come on Arsenal this year please :)
