Roger,
Unfortunately both No: 9's have had to back out of the trip, so we will fill those with others hopefully who want to go..!!

I am going to have to make the return's flexible for all, otherwise it could get messy..!!

Cheers
R

Thanks Rob

Just seemed a bit strange that both No. 9's were missing, just coincidence then.

Cheers

Roger

Be nice to arrive in groups I think, but heading back, we are looking at 2 - 3 nights in Florence, and another couple of stops on the way back to Calais, so will be around the 26th for us, aiming to get back to Scotland on Sunday the 28th. The 29th's a Bank Holiday which helps.

Is there really a bank holiday in September?

I know, I want to see the plans really and plan how much it's going to cost. Also find a companion who is dedicated enough to sit there for 2k miles in a car which has its quirks :)

I've found mine! I went for a 3200 driver I thought they would be better prepared in the rare event of 4200 quirks!!!!

Come on Chaps, just commit, this will never happen again in your lifetime and you will be with other owners who have a wealth of experience..!! OK cost wise this has to be considered, but we are trying to keep Hotels under a £100 per night, petrol is a consideration, but taking our time going down will temper that cost a bit..!!

I believe that, due to the fact that we're not sure (actually it's unlikely) if we'll be among the 250 cars, there may be some people here who don't want to bring a car or share the petrol, but just jump to a plane an land easily in Modena. How does it sound?

No fun at all, but that's just me :)

25 Maser's from this lot in convoy? What can *possibly* go wrong?

I confess that Mrs Catman was a little unsure. At the meet just after Christmas she suddenly leant over and said 'Definitely want to got to Italy with this lot' I think it was just after AdamN arrived. Should I be worried? ;)

An event this big and you do not bring your car....is unthinkable..!! There will be International Motorsport Film Units all over and I want to go down in history as one of those that attended and my car wants her moment of fame too..!! Young Dolly Birds and Models draped over you so as to get noticed on camera, what's not to like..??

Mr.C, only if she says "I will go in Adam's car"..!!

Quite right about not taking your car Adam. Can you imagine spending the whole weekend saying 'Yes, I *do* have a Maserati. It's at home'
As for Mrs C sharing Adam's car. She can take the 4200 and *I'll* go in Adam's :D

Allan, That's a pretty cool summary, you could clip a bit off those figures, but I see your reasoning..!!

I had a quick go 'on the back of a f@g packet' and came up with (for the 8 or 9 day drip) of £1500 based on 2 sharing.

Fuel (2k miles 6 or 7 tanks at £100 each), ferry & tolls: £1,000 divided by 2 = £500 per head
B&B Accommodation: £500 per head
Food and drink: £500 per head

If I spend anything less, it will be a bonus, but I dont expect to.

I've got Susie to work into the equation - if it 'only' costs £2k per week, it will be cheaper than staying at home ;)

The hotel will be B&B I assumed Rob?

I cant remember how much is was but £100 for a twin springs to mind, was that about right? The enroute Hotels should be cheaper too.

Are you going to turn up for breakfast again like you did at the Xmas party?????.......wobbling like a weevil???

Hillarious :)
