I want to say 1922, but I don't know why...
I'll give you that.

On creation of the Irish Free State in 1922 all 32 counties left the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland with the proviso that the six counties in the North could rejoin the UK within a window of one month if they so chose. They did so the next day.

So it only lasted one day.

Over to you MarkMas....

Vatican maybe?
Very good effort - the model I am using suggests that the Vatican (although not really a country, IMHO) is the forth roundest.
My top 5 include the Vatican, two African countries, a European country and a Pacific Island.

Technically Vatican City is the smallest country in the world.

But that's not the question. Having looked at the map of the world on my wall (is that allowed?) Lesotho looks quite round as does eSwatini (previously Swaziland I think), as does Sierra Leone.

Iceland is in Europe, that's quite round, other than the jagged bit on the west side. As for Pacific Islands there's thousands of them!

Heard this last week by an old boy in town. I googled it and it was true.

What is HMS Dido famous for?

It was the first Airfix model I made, well actually it was HMS Leander but I renamed my version Dido (same class) as she was built in the same year of my birth.
