Toying with the idea of a 3 day Scotland roadtrip in September and wondering if anyone would be keen to join or come with me?

I'm in Northern Ireland but would be a ferry ride to Stranraer/Cairnryan. The famous A82 route among others would be prime and obvoiusly passing Fortwilliam etc too.

Hi Cris, if u get to fort William good road to LochCarron, then you have Gairloch, ,Ullapool, returning to Inverness, superb roads, no cameras,no police .

If weather is good May be able to join you,I am at Kingussie ,Greg is at Inverness ,might make up a convoy.

Chief.

Sounds like a plan Chris, September usually a good time to visit......less midges anyway!. Once you work out your preference for where and what you want to see etc there a few members on here spread across the country who can help you tie down routes.
Central belt and south Scotland routes advice can be better given by Allan or athol and a few others but if you are thinking a highland hoon then from what you say about heading on the A82 to fort William will leave you 2 feasible routes to consider. Route 1-FW to mallaig to catch ferry to south Skye then motor through Skye, across bridge to highlands then the road choices open up for you. Route 2 - FW to Inverness via south road Loch Ness and again the choice of roads wide open for you.

Yes, Its a nice time of the year to travel anywhere I think. Who would be interested in joining and for an overnight/s? start to get some names and hopefully make this happen.

I can't do Sept, but I can recommend The Inch hotel near Fort Augustus. Excellent food (especially their game pie) and a nice location overlooking Loch Ness.
