Interesting in the paper today. Silverstone's 50th this year (with some rather dodgy counting). Winner of the first ever GP at Silverstone? Maserati :)

Received an e-mail from the Maserati Club confirming they have 150 cars for the parade lap, which will be at 12.00 on the Sunday.

ARGHHHH, was hoping we could get closer to the 200 mark which would be even more of a spectacle. Having said that it means we'll all have a bit more room on the track LOL.

Seriously though, if anyone knows anyone else with a Maser, please encourage them to come along for this once in a lifetime experience and special tribute to Maserati's Centenary.

Cheers,

The 'official' route was to purchase tickets using Maserati Club UK's code and doing the parade lap as a guest member of Maserati Club UK (ref. 1st post). The reality may well be that if you already have in-field parking, then you may well be able to just get in your car and join all the other Masers when they go on track.
If you just have a regular ticket, then you may well struggle to get clearance to bring your car in-field... does anybody know the in-field, 'out-field' (regular) parking set-up at Silverstone?

I have a Gran Sport and would be well up for this. Sounds a lot of fun after being told about it at Autoshield yesterday by Richard Grace

Lee, send a pm to Miles (emtee) as he organised our involvement. If it's still possible to join he will tell you how.

Cheers.

Most events at Silverstone you need a pass to park infield, this especially so at Classic are there are so many car clubs who do arrange in field parking passes. The main car park is just outside the main gate.

There will be specific details of parking, access routes etc issued later Ian.

Don't worry, my cousin Edwin is organising in the OC, so what could possibly go wrong? :D

Marvellous, ta... I'm doing a few events this year and sometimes can't remember what I've booked in for and what I haven't, what I've had details for and what I haven't... cheers

Hi Lee, as per Chris' comment. Cheers for the prompt response Chris.

This is what I was 'afraid' of :( It will be easier to get people access to the track for the Centenary Parade if they already have in-field parking; I'm trying to drum up more Masers from SCD (as they already have in-field parking).
As for those with just regular parking, unfortunately I doubt there will be a way of blagging your car on track for the parade, which is a shame, as there will easily be more than 200 Maseratis parked at Silverstone on the day!
