If anyone fancies some top-speed runs on a 1.5 mile runway, plus a slowing down zone, then this is for you. It's free if you only want to spectate (but a fiver donation is welcomed) or £99 to take part. The events will be at RAF Woodbridge, IP12 3TN on the dates above.

It would be good to get a sense of who might be interested in at least one of theses events. It's fairly close to home for me so I'll probably do at least one.

Hello everyone,

We have been invited along to an event that is running 3 times across the summer.

I can make the 1st two dates but will not be able to make the one in September.

All of the details are below and attached so please have a look through and let me know if you can either make either date so we can arrange an area for the club on the day.

Although Matt has kindly waived the £5 fee I would quite like to still charge this and we will put the money to a charity of Matts choice. I hope this is ok with everyone.

Kind regards,

Ryan

Hi

As discussed, our dates for this year are 31st May, 2nd August (that has recently changed from 26th July) and 26th September. I attach herewith the information document being sent out to participants (please forgive the rather rudimentary plan!!), this along with our website at www.terminalvelocityuk.co.uk and our terminal velocity Facebook Page should hopefully give you all the info that you need.

As I said in my initial message, if there are a few of your members that want to attend I would be more than happy to arrange for an area for you and to waive the £5 entrance fee for those that don't want to actually have a go at the Speed Trial, as I would love to have as many people there as possible and as many nice cars for people to look at as we can get!!

There will be awards on the day for fastest car and fastest time and maybe a few humorous ones, such as fastest Diesel etc, we are also speaking to some potential sponsors and trying to encourage anyone that wants to exhibit a stand for their own business that may be of interest to us to get in touch, if we like the idea of them being there to enhance the event we will not be seeking any payment from them.

Should you have any more questions please feel free to ask.

Kindest regards

Matthew Flynn

It would have to be Sept for me. 31 May I'm in Scotland and 2nd Aug I'm gigging. Plus it's just down the road too. :)

Me and Mrs T have already booked time off. Couldn't do it last year, but will this time around. It's about time I met up with some members from here.

I do this every time I'm on a morning shift on a 2 mile runway. Unfortunately I'm in a 1998 ford ranger and the 4200 is parked... But one day I'll do it.
Have done it on a ZX6R in Germany and it's fun trying to stop from 150+

160 plus and still pulling in a 15 year old 3200GT was enough for me thanks
Still amazing quite though, even at those speeds....sign of very good aerodynamics
