Price and date good with me, thanks Miles. I'm certainly all for maximising practice time - however we do it - but defer to those who have been before to advise on the best way to structure the day. I assume each half-day would last 3 to 4 hours ? If intensive enough that sounds fine to me unless more experienced people disagree.

Totally agree with Dan, I too felt the drifting session was too short and it was over well before I'd figured what I was doing wrong - planting it when I should have been feathering it!

Adam, the reality is actually around 2 hours am + 2 hours pm as there is a driver briefing session; perhaps a single group session may give us longer on the skid pan over all?

Date is good for myself and Adrian. I'd probably be happier with a more intensive half day with less cars, but happy to go with the flow. More drifting time is definitely a requirement!

Date should be good with me too (sisters b'day so will confirm, but she's of the age she wants b'day forgotten not shouted about!).

Struture wise, I cant really input on this having never been so I'll look to the wise to confirm.

Thanks for the comments so far guys. I'll wait to hear from a few more before committing to numbers, so won't stick at 16 just yet. In the meantime I've added Elliot and GhostyDog as 'reserves'.

To give the day as much flexibility as possible, I'd like to suggest two sessions rather than one. One session can be limited numbers - 8? to give extra tuition time, but the other could be perhaps 10 or 12 to get a few more people involved and to get the cost per driver in that session a little lower.

This is subject to agreement from the instructor, but what are your thoughts?

1. Emtee
2. Adam N
3. GT Dan
4. MAF260 (subject to date and me having something RWD this time!)
5. Newton AM & PM possibility
6. Paulm (should have silver lady finished)
7. Nick P (subject to work commitments)
8. Ben3200gt (subject work commitments and a fully functioning car!!)
9. Andrew
10. Yeti (an yes, I am superstitious!)
11. Woody (sounds like a laugh, keen but work dependant).
12. Adrian (MAF's mate)
13. Enzo
14. Sofia
15. Dom
16. Bal

Reserves.

1. GhostyDog.
2. Elliot.

I've now had the booking form through that I need to sign and return, however in doing so I'll need to give a 10% deposit, so £240 or £15 per participant as it currently stands and subject to my suggestion above.

In signing and returning the booking form a minimum 50% cancellation charge also applies. As of the 20th August it rises to 75%, and as of the beginning of September it rises again to a full payment charge. I don't foresee us cancelling , but please take posting your interest seriously, as a cancellation charge falls to me to resolve, not the forum.

So...

This will be the payment schedule...

I will PM my account details to the 16 on the list asking for a deposit payment of £15.00 per driver.
Depending on comments received, and how the session numbers evolve, I will then also ask the 'reserves' for the deposit payment.
On 1st September I will PM everyone on the list asking for full payment, which needs to be passed in full to Rockingham no later than the 20th September. At this point I'd expect to have numbers confirmed, and therefore exact payments can be calculated.

If you are on the list and choose to drop out I'll do everything possible to find a replacement driver to take your place and / or discuss with the other drivers to absorb the cost of your place, but if neither is possible, a refund cannot be guaranteed.

So one way or another we have about 4 weeks to get everything confirmed.

Sorry to get into this sort of stuff, but please bear in mind I organise these things on a forum handshake. Sadly Rockingham won't take the same view.

Thanks, Miles.

Morning Miles. Fantastic, thanks. PM me and I'll transfer the dosh. I'm up for more tuition - I want time to practice and to make help whatever I'm learning become second nature. So please add me to the "extra tuition" list if that's the way the day pans out.

Cheers,
Adam

Miles - Adrian cannot commit to the date so will drop out to let a reserve take his place.

Really looking forward to this!

Hi Miles,
Thanks for taking the time and making a big effort in organizing this, much appreciated.
I would be in the larger group if I come along with both my son and daughter's cars.
Regards,
Enzo.

Wet handling day spaces still available!!

Saturday 20th October. Rockingham wet handling facility.

As per my prior post, there are five places still available, so if you're interested to see how your car behaves when it looses traction, but in a safe environment with tuition to guide you through the corrective actions, please post your interest.

Extra tuition spaces at £150.00 each and larger group spaces at £100.00 each.

Check the thread for further details.

Hi Emtee, apologies - I've got a wedding that weekend sadly, not been on the board in the past week or so, so have only just caught up with the thread/finalised dates etc.. Will keep my eyes open for the next one that comes up; something I'm very keen to do!!! Will PM you to make sure you are aware I'm having to pull out - great work for sorting it out, hope you all have a great time (and back it up with plenty of pictures!!) :)
