Nope - lot of money goes up that stack, my mate once got accused of putting material to it while doing some ESD system trip testing, lets say a certain part of him was nipping for a time while they worked out what caused it.
I have been on the road next to it in the depths of winter and I was toasting nicely!!!!

Yes Dave I know those scenarios very well
I worked on Wilton site once when the flare went up and it was huge and flared for days while the chaps got the spec back in order
I also have done ESD testing when questios were asked. Thankfully it was not me!!

Drive past it regularly - that area has it's own unique smell as well. Wasn't it the inspiration for Blade Runner as Ridley Scott lived near by for a while. Newcastle fans used to go to Boro in full hazmat gear before it was banned for being too close to the truth!

Smell has gone now Dave...and I have to say I miss it....It was called.......Industry....opportunity.....pride.....self worth...... been replaced by something fresher called abject misery......but from the flames a phoenix did rise!!!!!
