Well after bringing the 3200 home nearly a year ago myself and mainly my old man have spent a lot of evenings on her but still a mile to go, the plan is to have one of the most sorted 3200's in the country.
So far she's had:
Full AC interior from a 20k car including brand new carpet.
New starter motor.
Clutch
Clutch master and slave.
Cambelt
Water pump
Thermocouple
Every rubber hose replaced with black silicone.
Every bush and balljoint replaced
Front and rear subframe removed and painted.

The pile of parts still to go on include new shocks, springs, exhaust, wishbones.

Here's a few pics of how's shes sitting, hope you like.

Well done mate! Will be great to see it when done. Will compare notes as mine has had a lot done to it in the last two years.

Clearly a labour of love, I was concerned by the pair of anti-roll bars on the floor with the sub frames refitted! till I saw they were spare... Carry on.

Nice project. The interior does look nice.
I see you used silicon paste all over the water pump.
Didn't your gasket came with a layer of pre applied gasket sealant ?

For me these are a must

Upgraded DBW (Throttle Body and Pedal Sensor)
AC ARB's
Proper EXhaust (Stainless steel or Larini's)
Craig's Tie Rod Kit

Thanks for the comments, yes I used extra sealant on the pump.

Upgraded DBW throttle by Mike has already been fitted. And we managed to get a AC roll bar from Greg at PPCP.

I will keep pics coming as it moves forward.

It's one of the nicest 3200's we've ever had, used to belong to Conaero, had a full clean bill of health from McGrath's. Goodness knows how good it'll be when its been rebuilt! Fair play, that's a massive undertaking but sure it'll be amazing when it's done.

I did wonder when i first saw this but thought, no, it cant be.

Have spoken several times to the new owner, and yes, upgraded crank washers by David Askew.

...the only think i am scrathching my head about is the interior. It had a beige full leather and when it left my ownership was immaculate.

Why change it???
