That would have been me :)

What you can't see in that photo is the van that WAS parked where Benny and MAF are now parked. I parked in the odd gap - see the car next to me? Also not in the lines... I appreciate that must be a tricky one to look at for the OCD amongst us ;)

I do not have OCD. My CDO on the other hand made my eyes bleed!

CDO! Now that is OCD :D

Now ordinarily, I'd be right there with you; car properly parked in the lines, square on, the whole nine yards. BUT... if someone else has already broken the pattern, so I have to park out of the slots, then I don't care one jot. Made it a lot easier to get in and out of the car too :)

Another point from the day - my DIY wind deflector for the Spyder has been thoroughly tested today at various speeds, and deemed to be a fine piece of kit indeed. Since the car came without one, and they are like rocking-horse poo to locate and buy, I made one. Not a nasty mesh thing though, but a 10mm thick piece of bullet-proof Lexan optically perfect sheet. It's rather splendid, and I shall post photos after I've taken some tomorrow. It's sadly too dark to take them now.

Hey Drew sorry didn't catchup saw the Spyder very nice.... met up with a few of the members and had a great day, shame about the laps and I was right at the accident as well saw the sign go up in the air and the Mercedes driver not very happy :) Looking forward to another meetup.

It was good to see a load of Maseratis together and the problem is I now want X-Pipes as well lol...

a) it's not a problem, and b) it's not a want. It's a NEED. GTS' love x-pipes. It makes them happy, makes them sing, makes them bring joy to everyone within a large area. If you plan on heading down to Auto Italia at Brooklands in May you can have a listen to what a glorious difference they make to our cars.

Looks like today was a great event. Disappointed to have missed it but family obligations and a long-booked birthday lunch with friends kept me closer to home.

For all those that made the trek today, thanks for coming guys and sorry about the laps. Such things are beyond our control but still nice to meet up with some old faces and some 'new' ones too. MAF and me took the scenic route to the M6 on the way back, a very enjoyable way to end a good day out. Thanks again guys, and I hope to see you all again soon.

Just got back home, was great to meet a few fellow forum members and hear their cars too... MAF and Benny have converted me to the dark side so expect to hear me coming down a street near you soon!

Was disappointed not to get the track parade laps in but i can't think of many better ways to spend a Bank Holiday monday than blasting down some nice country lanes. The Southern convoy had a journey of two halves to the track, started out slowly then became manic at the end. As the only Maserati in the group i am happy to report the car didn't let me down and kept up well with the prancing horses and other cars that accompanied them. Actually pleasantly surprised with the performance of the GS with the calibre of cars i was following.

It's like creche being a collision between two motor vehicles in Kensington. Cant is a vulgar reference to the female genitalia in the same area :)

As in facking cant. A missing apostrophe can change a word quite markedly, as can a local accent!

Try saying Whale, Oil, Beef, Hooked quickly without sounding like an Irishman.

Good to meet you and glad to have persuaded you to your new need, Stewart! Adam - your car was held up as the example of what Stewart hadn't immediately realised he needs!!
