The problem with early starts was not me being lazy, but to do with my illness (as previously discussed). E.g. I was supposed to go to Cholmondely Pageant or Power on Sunday 15th June, doing Dream Rides for charity with Sporting Bears, but despite 4 (yes four!) alarm clocks I still didn't wake until gone 2:30pm, and hence missed the event !!!

Basel section (or wherever it end up being) sounds like fun - looking forward to some great driving roads with stunning scenery

Off topic - but are you doing carfest with sporting bears? I have signed up for south and have an option on north.

Hi Rob, Yep, I'm planning on doing the Dream Rides for Sporting Bears at Carfest North on the Sunday (with the intention of doing the Maserati Centenary Parade lap as well). But at present I don't have any plans to do South as well, however nothing's concrete.

Rob, looking at your list, Me and OzzieAl are not down for a twin room in the hotel in Troyes and I obviously need one. Did I miss something here, are we self booking them, if so, which one?

And also, you have listed Me and OzzieAl in a double bed for the first night in Dover (that I have self booked).....as we have not met yet, I was going to start off with a twin and see how it went towards the end of the week!

I've discussed with Robert and would like to thank him publicly for his help. I've been deliberating for long enough on arrangements so have booked my full trip yesterday. I'm heading down with Jason, a good mate of mine. We'll be meeting you all in Troyes and having a couple of nights in Modena too as well as visiting a mate of mine in Switzerland and joining another group of friends who are going for the celebrations. I'm really looking forward to it now I've booked.

if a single includes a double bed then set to single (at least I'm covered), otherwise double - take it I'll just end up paying a supplement if only me or would it be cost of 2 ?

OK mate I will leave it as is, singles in the Modena hotel I think are a bit lower, the others there will maybe be a lower price but hen a supplement, so not a great deal different. Leave your options open mate..!!

Tuesday we are heading for Mulhouse and the famous enormous motoring museum, staying in Mulhouse Tuesday night, Wednesday, still trying to sort the best place to stay and that will be the day when some want to split off and do different drives etc...Watch this space..!!
