Lots of possibilities for us to work out some interesting things together though, and I can now reveal the 'facility' I mentioned earlier - this will be the use of the Autodromo di Modena, a very nice track just a couple of miles outside Modena. It has been booked for 20 days in September by a local Manufacturer, but considering the make of car we are bringing, they are willing to step aside to allow us the use of the same on Saturday - late afternoon/early evening slot looks best, then on to dinner straight after. Costs depend on how many people we can get involved, clearly the more people take up the event, the lower the cost will be per car. We are aiming at ~25..30 euros per car, which should allow plenty of track time for all who might want it.

Hi All,
As the trip down is still a bit up in the air, I have decided to bite the bullet and get a hotel in TROYES France for the first nights of the trip. I have provisionally for Monday 15th reserved 25 Double Rooms, Breakfast, Parking, Porterage, Local tax etc, for a little over Euro 68 per night per room, I think Single Rooms are about Euro 45. This is a 4* Hotel right in the centre of town.
For Tuesday 16th I have a Partner Hotel in the centre for about the same rate if anyone wants the 16th.

I WILL NEED TO KNOW QUICKLY WHO WANTS WHICH DATE TO SECURE THE ROOMS WE REQUIRE...!!!

OK Girls & Boys,
We are booked in at the: Hotel Real Fini Via Emilia 4* www.hotelviaemilia.it Modena, 1/2 mile from the centre of town and I believe on a bus route.

The dates booked are: 18th. 19th. 20th. SEPTEMBER 2014, INCLUSIVE

We have 1 x Double Rooms, Buffet Breakfast, Wifi and Underground CCTV covered Garage for each car at a rate of: Euro 98.00 per day. Singles if required will be at: Euro 89.00 per day including parking. If you are a single passenger and do not require parking it will be: Euro 80.00 per day.

35 rooms are reserved in total. I now need for you all to confirm if you need a double, twin or a single room, so that I can confirm this with the hotel.

So we are off. If there are any other members who require accomodation not already listed, please let me know now and I will attempt to find accomodation for you.

A deposit will be required of 30% of the total stay - 1 month before we depart..latest, NO DEPOSIT NO ROOM..!!

On behalf of the members who want to attend, I personally have committed my plastic to cover no shows, so if you let me down I will come looking for you..!!

Cheers Mate, so there are 4 Double Rooms taken so far. OK let's see how we go on, we will have to make a decision at some point in the not too distant, and folks are a little slow at coming forward so far. We have 3 Doubles & 2 Twins confirmed for Monday, I don't know where everybody else is planning to stay..??

Oh I seeeeeeeeeeee LOL. I agree that people seem a bit slow to say where they want to stay etc. I guess September still seems quite a long way off for some; I'm struggling to give commitments to what is happening this weekend, let alone a few months away LOL

I envy you. I was asked my availability for the first weekend in September to make a trip to NY.....

The main problem is being sure we have somewhere to stay as a group, to try and get 25 / 30 rooms in one place is not that easy and if we don't get the decision made, we could be split up all over the place. I know we are all grown ups and can manage on our own, but it would be nice to be in some sort of group on this trip and hotels are a part of it..!!

I agree totally, but was not prepared to risk waiting any later, particularly since many (most) seemed to be traveling on the Monday anyway.
