This is why I am growing my own veg this year! However, getting supplied of citrus fruits may be a big problem this year with Spain and Italy in chaos. Better buy some Vitamin C tablets to avoid scurvy!!
I guess my sentiment was. If we continually listen to those who knock us and forever tell us we can’t then me way as well just roll over and admit defeat. However, I know that won’t happen. That’s an empty exhibition hall Dave with loads of partitions. Would be harder to set up a flower show. They will just have beds in there , volunteers and plastic partitions. No high level care. The Chinese built a physical hospital and installed ventilators and high dependency areas. I love the British spirit though! They are opening up exhibition centres and sports stadia all over the country for overflow.
How long does it take to train someone up?There would be no chance. 60-70% mortality even in the best of conditions. Untrained Staff just simply couldn’t do it.
Time released? If not you'll be p'eeing most of it down the khazi. Have used one of these every 6 months or so for the last 35+ years or so.1000mg of vit C...
My missus has had me on 1000mg of vit C and daily vit D for the last month , im beginning to look and feel like a bluddy lemon
It depends on the starting point. Most staff months to years. Non intensive care Anaesthetists - seems. I can only go on what anaesthetists say! I am a surgeon so at the other end of the table! In wartime if it gets out of control though everyone will just do their best and in extreme circumstances you may have one anaesthetist running several ventilators I supposeHow long does it take to train someone up?
This is a very good watch.
He makes some very good points and around 30mins talks about what can be done.
Chloroquine is available over the counter I believe in the Uk.
I got some on script over here a week or so ago...just in case......figured it can’t do any harm.
Yes Silvercat, you are correct. The lithium canisters were for removing co2 from the atmosphere. The reason they were different was the Apollo was built by NAA and supported 3 astronauts, while the LM was built by Grumman and only had to support 2. Plus the LM was pressurized to a lower pressure with a higher O2 contentIt was an "air scrubber'
Yeah, I’m aware. The above was a rather silly individual who drank fish tank cleaner!Husband and wife poison themselves trying to self-medicate with chloroquine
An Arizona man is dead and his wife is hospitalized after both of them self-medicated with chloroquine.www.livescience.com
Be very, very careful. Self medication is not at all sensible.
Myself and my missus have taken 500mg of Vitamin C each every day for the last 15 years and we can count on one hand, the number of times that we have caught a cold in all that time. In fact I've not had a cold in at least 5 years. I know the medical profession have done all sorts of studies on Vit C and say it doesn't give any added protection but I can say it works for us... unless it's one **** of a placebo effect. Before taking it we would get a cold once a year maybe twice, now its such a rare event. So we are continuing to take it and hopefully it will continue to be beneficial. My missus has had me on 1000mg of vit C and daily vit D for the last month , im beginning to look and feel like a bluddy lemon
Whether you love him , or whether you hate him there's no denying he's one of the best orators of our time, as a righty i agree with a lot of what he says
Damm good listen
This is one of my Top5 all time great films with Tom Hanks. 'Appollo 13' is for me one of the best examples I know that when faced with adversity, human brings can do extraordinary things with so little to play with. I am hoping that our NHS can do the same with all of our help during this crisis. What was it the Apollo 13 crew made from bit in the command module? Was that some for of ventilator?
I'm taking pep up tea with lemon/tumeric/ginger and cayenne pepper - a friend took it some time ago (pre covid) when she had a bad cough - it killed her cough and I'm not surprised! PS I don't have a cough or any other signs (at the moment).Myself and my missus have taken 500mg of Vitamin C each every day for the last 15 years and we can count on one hand, the number of times that we have caught a cold in all that time. PS. Also taking Vit D now because there is plenty of scientific evidence to say that this is also beneficial to the immune system.
