It’s an interesting rear suspension setup is it a de Dion?

making some headway on refitting the front suspension, does anyone know if the GTV6 -75 TS calipers are the same as the Giulietta 116 ones, they do look similar
Not sure if they are the same but mine runs 75 front discs and callipers but the wheels had to increase in size to fit them.
yup, apparently they're different mounting positions and bigger wheels as you say, will stick with rebuilt originals, did get some new pattern ones but think Stevie Wonder put them together, the 2 halves were a complete mis match

Nothing wrong with that in my humble opinion.bit of advice needed, I'm going to replace the front anti roll bar drop links, however, in their infinite wisdom alfa decided to peen them on on the bar, if i grind the peen off how the heck do i fix the new ones on the bar, my only thought is drill and tap the end of the shaft, not sure if that will weaken the shaft?? really cant think of any other way unless I'm being dim

Looking at the diameter of new verses old I don't reckon that's peened on, I reckon the inner of the bush is an interference fit on the ARB end. Burn the old rubber out then carefully cut the inner metal sleeve off. I bet you find the end of the ARB is the same diameter and hasn't been peened over. Then you'll need to press the new link on.
The rivet thing for ball joints is pretty normal. Most American cars are like that. I’ve done the ones on the Vette.
I reckon someone’s been there before you. I’d be really surprised if they’re supposed to be peened over. You need Dave’s advice they’re probably exactly the same as Guilias etc.
Hi
I think you will find they are peened, my Montreal certainly were. From memory I mostly un-peened them with a punch then pulled off with a puller, the metal seemed softer than I thought it would be. Bad news is I have yet to refit, but was thinking of pressing back on and re-peening. You can get rose jointed drop links but you need the whole kit including anti roll bar.
On your previous question yes the brakes on the GTV 6 are different to start with the discs and wheels are five studs and the discs have a larger diameter, might also be air cooled.
Didn't know the Spica shocks were still available, where from?
Regards Geoff
Did you get the colour code in the end?
