Nice one was it a buyer's market Darren ?

Looks like a nice car , landmark edition , she's spent 5k fixing things that weren't broken , big invoice in November

Only she's just messaged me to tell me the AC isn't working  , it's never just gas

I've walked away , it's a really nice looking car but I don't want to be fixing it the day I get it , they're a big enough liability as it is

Anyone have a new Defender 110 (diesel) on here? Looking for a replacement for the trusty X5 that is getting a bit long in the tooth.

I've left a lower offer on it , she says somebody is coming Tuesday to look at it so if it doesn't go she'll be back in touch

I do like the car, just wish it wasn't 200 miles away , if she gets back to me I'll have to go and have a look at it to make sure everything works before I commit

When they first launched it the general consensus was another Chelsea tractor but a few years down the line they've really grown on me

It's what I'd be buying but I'll be dead before they drop into my price bracket :D

No one on here who is close who could at least check it as described?

Hopefully this one has a working engine

The guy selling it isn't very well , sounds like cancer unfortunately so he's decided to let it go , needs some tlc but cheap enough £2500

Does the 4.2 SC have engine issues? Other than frying it's alternator had no issues in almost 4 years.

My last one was a diesel

This one needs a bit of bodywork but given the value I'll have a go at that , HDC inactive is on but I had that problem with the last one , it was a ride height sensor

In the last 2 years it's had 4 tyres , alternator , service, discs & pads So it's had a bit of money spent on it

He's driving it 2 hours to meet me in Glasgow because he lives on an island off the coast

The drivers seat is usually knackered but this one looks good , the interior is a bit of an acquired taste though

12 mpg though

He's just sent me copies of the invoices since May 21 , more or less what I'm paying for the car

I'll be checking out the 0-60 time on it or more likely £0-£6 :D
