I grew up in Kettering Northants where we had our own theme park, Wicksteed Park
I remember the 1960s train ride well, the bridge over the lake was particularly hairy as a child
Can you imagine anyone proposing this today

just been reminded of a day at Oulton park
Bike meet, London based racing bike club, 2 London commentators, one couldn't say wheels, pronounced it as whills
There was a faller on the warmup lap so a 10 minute delay while they scraped him up, they took a break from commentating only they just put the Mike on the table, didn't turn it off
The sound was too feint to record, I really tried
Started chatting
See that bird racing, pretty good, her **** looks fantastic in leathers
Bit more chit chat then "**** me, how long is this going to take, what kind of a **** falls off on the warmup lap"
