Lotus Espirit-Yamaha

Race car by UK-based Terry Windle was powered by a mid-mounted Yamaha TZ-1500 (300hp) V8 engine. Formed by combining two TZ-747cc 4-cyl two-stroke engines, built by Roland Broadbent at Oxford Racing Services.View attachment 123865
My machining colleague talks about a Lotus 23 powered with 6 Ariel 250 twin engines (Rotorvic). When he worked as a classic restorer (they had the 23 chassis n body rebuild stuff) they ran this at Goodwood and other places. A bu*ger to set timing and the throttle linkages:

Being touted as an RX 7 do-over or some such….
Reportedly a ****** motor charging an ev power train..Although this may not be the only iteration…?
It’s concept at this point Yeah…it’s beautiful!

edit- I can’t say wank3l engine…! Lol. :D
I think this is the 2025 mazda 3 that is shown, and it will have a petrol engine, and priced around £30.000 for a base model. You are right as to the RX7 as a concept.

My bad - the error of identification goes some way to showing how sharp Mazda design is atm…imo

Yes your right when you have the likes of that hideous Ferrari, and sooo boring Audi

At least the Mazda has some style.(No match to my 4200 Spyder though!)
