4200 Tick over

Hi does any body know why my 4200 has suddenly started ticking over at 1500rpm and knows how to reset it to normal. Cheers

That's what I would be looking for first.

I thought the same, but wanted someone with some actual skill to chip in first

It's not uncommon for the metal air pipe that runs across the front of the engine to get rusty and get pinholes in it.
Without seeing the car it's hard to fully diagnose it to be fair.

Sorted now, it was the clutch position sensor. Helped by Mario.
