Nice one. Great to see you all. Hopefully the next time I'll get there a bit earlier!

Thanks for the jam old bean - I take it the sweet pepper and chilli is best on burgers? Or is it suitable for toast...?

Hadn't realised just how bad the A406 was - showed great strength of character to not just turn back. Top man :)

4 - number of hours travelled by catman to get there
13 - number of maseratis in the Ace car park today
406 - everyone's favourite number
3 - number of stripes on the grill (looked great)
1 - number of bentlys turned away for not being Italian
380 - horses under the bonnet of an insane supercharged Alfa.

Just a few numbers from a great meet. Nice to see you all again...hope it was only 3.5 hours on the way back, Chris!

Just checked into the hotel and now downing a couple of night-caps. Great to catch up with everyone. Cracking turnout throughout the day and evening by all accounts. Just a shame the Ace car park was a little quiet. Usually rammed. Great to catch up with the gang as always. Right, time to get the Christmas bash sorted.........

Just got in, had to concede defeat at Guildford and pull over and put the roof up.

It was a great meet, members coming and going all day, appreciate all taking the time to attend.

Roll on Xmas doo :)

Great to meet some new faces and see all your lovely Masser's.
Amazed you got that far with your roof down Matt, it seem to start raining 5 mins after we left.
Thanks to those who explained the differences between the 4200 & GS's, feel much more informed now!
Loved Roger's grill, I think copying may be in order!
Look forward to the Christmas "do"
Cheers Blu

Morning all, good to meet up with some familiar faces and of course put some new faces to screen names.

The epic journey theme continued for the way home with the M3 being reduced to one lane resulting in a nice long tail back. Nearly dozed off a couple of times during the drive with the shot of adrenaline that swiftly follows keeping me going for another few miles.

See you all at Christmas!

Great to see people again, such a shame about the bridge strike on the A406 c0cking it up for traffic in the area. I saw the scammel being pulled out from under it as I went past and I guess the driver must have had a senior moment after fuelling and driven off with the back up. I bet he got a shock though 40 to 0 in an instant WTF!!!

Meh. Couldn't get off the damned thing :)

You *could* eat the chilli on toast, depending on your tolerance, and how it's aged. More generally best on burgers, cold meats and cheese. Mrs Catman, however, eats it on just about anything, except cereal ;)

I shall report back on the plums after the weekend. My new jam thermometer arrived today (http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B007Q87J3U/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 technological overkill, anyone), so it should be done tomorrow. Some will go into crumble as well :)

Heh. Back was 40 minutes, she was a perfect lady. had some fun with (what I think was) an AMG55. Every time I came up to him in the 50, he pegged it, then slowed it back to 48 when he was a couple of hundred yards ahead.

So, I thought next time.... Pulled up to him, saw him start to give it some. banged down 3 gears and pinned it. Backed off before he did as I could see red traffic lights and know where the cameras are. He didn't.... Pulled in front of me, carried on at full chat thinking that there was a *third* lane he could go round the econobox in lane two. There wasn't. He was very *very* nearly too late on the anchors. Backend was all *over* the place, so much so that I was preparing plans B and C.

Foolish chap :)

I *loved* that grill. Just looked *so* cool. And that Alfa was a bit nuts :)

No problem C, I was tired after 3 days on the road covering most of the south of England, just wanted to get home. I have the target of being in my own car for the Christmas bash though :)

Sadly, not going to be at that one I think. I do hope you're back on the road again, by then!
