Looking forward to driving down from Warwickshire tomorrow, with talk elsewhere in the thread of road works around the M25 / M3 junction I plan to come off at J11 a little further up and head for Weybridge / Brooklands from there, hopefully it shouldn't be too bad. Plan B consists of ''follow that Italian car in front and look out for the Vickers / Campbell gate signs''!

I am heading from the same direction, junc 11 will be fine. In my experience Google maps to the Brooklands Museum takes you to the Campbell Gate but just in case (51.3524524, -0.4594010) - there will be a queue whatever time you arrive.

If you're coming up through Ripley and the Newark Abbey there's a bit of flooding on the right hander after the bridges.

Its a very nice, if narrow, drive from Woking to Ripley, past the ruins of the old Abbey and on to Horsley, completely avoiding the disastrous A3/M25 junction.

Hi Alan I’m coming from the other side of Camberley so would like to meet at the Shell garage if ok. I’m not approved yet to join you at Brooklands but would enjoy the drive up there in convoy

Due to changing children logistics I have to bail now and perform several dad duties to smaller ones instead. Well not so small any more but they still aren't self mobile just yet!

Will look forward to catching up with all at the next event though. Would be nice to actually use the 4200 rather than stare at it in the garage each time I go in there

Thanks for saying Martin. But as it happens, we'll be using the other route which is more direct from Horsley. I hope things went well for you today and it would be great if you could make the drive from Woking to the Shell garage in Horsley (via the floody part near Newark Abbey) and met us tomorrow for 8:30.

Goodness. Fabulous work all you good people who have decided to call in at the Shell filling station in Horsley on the A246 or divert via it, perhaps to avoid the dreadful A3/M25 junction. There are ten of us now Looking forward to meeting everyone on the forecourt (chosen because it is large). Do make sure you have your copy of the route from there to the Campbell gate at Brooklands (earlier in this thread) just in case we get split up. To quote Annie, a convoy of two Maseratis can be quite hard to keep together.....

I got off the M25 at J11 earlier today heading that way-ish - signs for Brooklands everywhere - you should be fine
