one week before Ferrari national concourse, hmmm i may try and sneak to this one.

I went last year and its was a great event with lots of very nice cars. Last years theme was Le Man and they had a display of the Le man racing cars and a giant screen showing the film with Derek Bell and Stirling Moss in attendance to sign autograpths . Lots of nice cars with display areas for Italian , German, English, American, Sports Racing and Rally cars. Also and lots of trade stands, a small fun fair for the children and it right in the heart of London.
PS Also the partner can easily walk to the Kings Road for shopping if they don't like cars and I fully intend to go again this year
Just one word of warning if you pay to enter and display your car you have to be there by around 8-30 and can't leave to the end which was around 16-00.

well, I've been "approved" - the bastards only want us to pay £15 for the entry AND £20 for the car though!!?
I felt slightly less indignant when it became apparent that there is no parking for anyone else at the event (public transport or take your chances locally it seems)

99% sure I am in the Aston but will check Need to name my cars I think. What can you call a green Aston? Doris? Barbara? Not much that's too inspiring in Warwickshire...
And digressing... am under the usual cloud of upgrades at the moment, started today with machine turned heater controls in stainless steel, unique addition and very smart. Wednesday it has its exhaust and cats custom designed and fitted, and Sports Pack wheels (the lightest AM make) with titanium nuts fitted. Then off for clear rear lenses from the DBS, front grille removed, stripped and then machine polished. Crappy chicken wire mesh grilles removed and replaced with polished stainless. Anodised gear shift surround removed and polished, DBS alloy gearknob fitted (cost £361 on eBay!!). Then yet another place for some woodwork. Found the place that Works Service uses for it's dashboards, I currently have walnut with leather door cappings. At the moment I have no idea what I'm going for but they will match - they can do anything, wood, metal, paint, but whatever I go for it will be unique.
Then a re-map for 98 RON, raise peak power from 6000rpm to 6500rpm and see what that brings. With the (20kg lighter) exhaust and race cats, plus the re-map, hoping to see in excess of 500bhp. Then bring on LE MANS!

Weather forecast looks good, I'm aiming to get there at 8am, will leave home at 7:30 and should be fine. Anyone know the form, do we just arrive and park where directed? Is it by marque, age, country? Or just totally random..?
