I saw Moira Stewart strolling through London one warm morning last summer. Outrageously elegant, that woman.

Back on topic, I tried to get tickets to the southern event a while back but it was sold out. Has anyone here been able to buy any?

Car fest !!!!! I wish I had never heard of it, F*!@ing cowboys, they sell you tickets at £60 a pop then expect you to drive down something akin to the Grand canyon to get into the place on top of which they have have a stupid young girl guiding you down the drop. She did such a good job that I ended up hitting the edge of the huge metal plate they had put in to try and make it passable and when she heard the crunch she told me to back up which resulted in an even bigger crunch, she then said " actually you are probably better of coming right over to the right hand side" (which was just about passable). The end result is a damaged oil cooler, damaged air con condenser and destroyed mounting bracket for the aforesaid items on top of which the AA charged me £117 to relay home because it was accident damage and not a breakdown. The response form Carfest when I approached them was that no one was available to talk to me and they take no responsibility for loss or damage of any kind.

F*!@ing cowboys !!!!!

I wondered if there had been any mention of sending an SM contingent to this event. Especially as there's no mention of Maseratis there already and Chris is an owner. I'd be keen on taking a few cars down as it's at Cholmondeley Castle in Cheshire. There's a southern event too. It's £60 to go if not showing a car, I'm happy to give something to Charity, but it'd be dear to go as a family.

I would be keen to go to this, any more news on if SM are showing etc?

Or are there any more tickets floating about for sale.

Anyone else going to this?

I am thinking of going on the sunday as there appears to be some bargain tickets popping up on E Bay.

The Mrs has just bought full weekend tickets for 2 adults and 2 kids for just over £80, off EBay, a massive saving!
Looks like the weather will be good too looking at the forecast.
Looking forward to it!

I've picked my tickets up, not for £15 each though, you did well there Lee! If the weather is anything like today it'll be great, it's absolutely stunning here again and it's only about 20 mins away from me. See you tomorrow guys.

What a superb event, would still be there if my little one wasn't starting school in the morning. Every car you could wish to see from 1920's 42 litre Bentley up to MC12, Veyron, Zonda etc, being hammered up the hill. Fighter jets, Lancasters, even the last Vulcan in the world. Great food, great vibe about the place, lovely family atmosphere. Definitely going next year and definitely having an SM group displaying our cars. Lovely weather too, happy days :)

I have to echo Dicky's thoughts.

Great show, great setting, amazing cars, amazing food stalls and live music.

Definately down in my calender for next year to do the whole weekend and enjoy a beer and some music after a day of petrol heaven. May even splash out on VIP tickets as the VIP Bar/Lounge area looked very comfy :)

Only thing missing was a nice display of Maserati's :)

Although seeing the MC12 next to the Enzo next to the Koenigsegg's etc etc etc so on was a lovely sight.

Right role on next year

Lee

ps sorry I did not catch up with you James, but as you would have realised phone reception there was difficult to say the least.

Lee, me too, I'll be either borrowing a friend's Motorhome or staying in the pop-up hotel. The only thing missing was a few beers this evening, oh, and maybe someone a bit more banging than The Magic Numbers and Razorlight. Ocean Colour Scene was a great blast from the past though.
