DK Engineering day 2013

As some of you may know, DK Engineering has an annual open day. I was fortunate to have been invited again, and as they're less than a mile from my house I couldn't resist going along to see the beautiful machinery they usually have on display.

On my way to DK I spotted the rear of a Ferrari in front of me. I drove a little closer and noticed a familiar 'ENZ' registration - our very own Enzo on his way to the same event in his gorgeous 550.

Anyway, a few pics. Not great as they're from a phone rather than a decent camera.

This was stunning in the flesh

Sisters or cousins?

The final part to this is that DK also offered a power run on their rolling road. Both Enzo and I took them up on this. My GS was strapped down and I stood and watched like an expectant father - nervous and excited. First power run showed a very low figure - panic! The DK guys said they were struggling with traction as the wheels were spinning. The car was strapped down harded; another run and the same problem. They opened the boot and a guy sat in the boot to put more weight over the rear wheels...they still couldn't get a reading. After about 5 attempts they had to admit defeat. They'd got a power reading of 340bhp at around 5k rpm, so were confident the car was producing "at least 400bhp" in their words. Very disappointing to not get a proper figure though.

Enzo's car went next and sadly had the same problem. A few attempts and the wheels were still spinning. As it was wet outside and a few cars had been before us DK reckoned the rollers were coated in mud and water, hence the lack of traction. It's now left me looking for another nearby rolling road to get a proper reading!

Bloody ****. Lovely.

I wonder how many of those high performance, RWD cars are going to get off that wet field :)

All well here as well Enzo....Washed the M3 this morning as it was sunny.....Raining cats and dogs now though.......We have also been watching the TV.....Me and the boys have been cheering Italy on against Ireland...and they one.....This has been Italy best 6 nations yet.....

Shame you can not make Llandow this time as it will not be the same without you there.......This will be the first one you've missed since we have been going there........

Indeed it is Andy...
very pleased with the way the boys in blue have been playing,
they have come a long way from losing by big margins and not being able to score :D

Yes, I will miss not being there...as you know, really enjoy Llandow :(

MAF, it was nice meeting you there - you're car looked great.

Apologies, I forgot to mention that we met there as well.

your French blue 3200 looked amazing. I'd seen pics of the car before, but it's even better in real life. There was another 3200 there, but I didn't see the owner V88 GTA - anyone from on here?
