Wot - no Mac version? Windows = faeces cars, Mac = cool cars.....
Due to hardware constraints , it is not possible on Mac at present - hence why even SD3 is Windows based.

Probs MacOS SIP? PITA...That's interesting. What's the hardware issue? I mean, USB = USB no?
Cheers

I'd tolerate Linux!

The diagnostic hardware and our programming requirement needs Windows. Again we guess why SD3 uses Windows OS.
Probs coding issue then, at the end of the day it's all worth it, Windows it is, I'll swallow my OS pride!
Can use Bootcamp or VM with the serial dedicated to the VM, but the benefits for me mean a windows lappy is worth a dent in my allegiance to Steve/Tim of MacDom....
Did you say the package came with hardware? Surely that cannot include the laptop....?
And any bluetooth connectivity planned?

Well, forgive me, but that's not really a hardware constraint any more than it not working under Linux is!
Any idea if it'll work on a VM or have you not tested? Just curious. Not clear (to me) if it'll work on a GT, so it may not be of any use to me, but if it *does* work on a GT I'd rather not have to buy a Windows machine

TBF, if it does the job, I'll bend over backwards to be able to use it, although not in a gay way......
I'm just grateful some progress is being made to alleviate the dependance on SD2/3, especially as these cars get older, won't be long until a 2k car may well need a 3.5k clutch from a n MD/Indy, and I laud this effort....
Even if I have to use Windows....
That's great, keep on keeping on and if u need my QP5 to mess with, no probs, probably more of them about too from a sales POV...As stated previously it's early days as we are at BETA testing only , this will be on Windows machines and from 4200 MY02 > only.

Top effort - I'm watching this evolve with real interest and hopefully it will provide a PIS avenue when my QPV clutch goes.As stated previously it's early days as we are at BETA testing only , this will be on Windows machines and from 4200 MY02 > only.
No, you can do that (using Apple Bootcamp, mods the Windows installer with Apple hardware drivers) or in a VM and dedicate the serial port to the VM. Probs need USB to Serial adapter, they cheap as chips, since Apple ditched DB9 years ago.I would pop along with mine but I'm im Italy until sunday.
Also I thought since Apple use Intel procraaors you can install windows and dual boot... Or did they change that already?
