Incidentally

Actually a couple of incidentally`s if I may.

First thing is to mention that the stretch of A49 between the traffic lights at the A556 and the lights at the A54 is not only dead straight, but is also a favourite location for the radar of the "gentlemen" of Cheshire Constabulary - particularly on Oulton Park race meeting days! I`m sure Benny wouldn`t lead the convoy to Oulton at more than the legal limit, but they are particularly keen on using it when folk are going home after the meeting.

Second thing - for those who aren`t vegetarians - is that the same stretch of road has a farm shop called the Hollies. They have THE best butcher`s shop in the North West. It`s certainly not the cheapest, but it is truly superb, and I say that solely as a customer.

Cheers

For any one coming up from the South who wants to convoy to the circuit myself and a friend with a Ferrari 360 are meeting at the Bell Inn on the A41 near Cosford at 8:15am. Would be nice to have a couple more cars with us for the drive there.

Just got home. Great to meet some of the old faces again and one or two new ones. A nice 'steady' run over to Outon from Lymm, picking up a couple of waifs and strays en-route and David was waiting at the gate with the tickets. I counted 9 Masers and loads of Ferraris. Great weather, good friends, a nice day out. Alas, I had to bale early as Mrs D is looking after her mum (91) as she fell on Friday whilst out shopping, breaking her wrist and gashing her head. I've got to look after the dogs. Happy days.

Yes good turnout, thanks for arranging with Dave, who I thanked before leaving.
Unfortunately due to race delays not possible for any parade laps this time, however with the number of cars (Ferraris two a penny, so common!) I don't know how they could have arranged it!

Thanks for organising it for us, Benny. A great day with good weather, and some very nice people to meet up with. Shame about the parade laps, but there we go. The only thing that I`m now worried about is whether I`m one of Benny`s waifs or one of his strays!
Thanks again.

It made a great finish to the bank holiday weekend. The weather couldn't have been better neither could the company.

The parade laps would have been good but I think there would have been too many cars to get it organised anyway.

I'll post some pictures over the next couple of days once We get them off the camera.

Excellent day out and nice to meet everybody, I think Ben's exhaust would have struggled to pass the maximum noise limit in the GT race :jpmad:many thanks to everyone and be good to arrange something again soon, I'm off to treat me sunburn:tomato11:

We had a really good day out, thanks to Benny and David for arranging. The journey to the circuit was eventful, first my friends F360 broke down and i had to go on without him, then i was able to have some fun with a F430. Was actually proud of how the GS performed, it certainly set the pace well. Once there it was nice to see a good SM presence and have a nice chat with Benny too!

Not many pictures but here is a nice of my car with the aforementioned F430...

Another enjoyable day out. Thanks to Benny and Dave for organising. The GT racing was good as well and pretty close; shame the Maserati retired but sounded great (though not as good as the Bentley).

Some pics of the SM contingent waiting for Godot (or at least Stuart).

Had to include a couple of the Maclaren held together with tape and the GT3 Bentley. That made a heck of a noise.
