As promised, Urban is organising this one and as discussed, we are not holding this one at ACE as it conflicts with Le Mans Classics thus half the member wont be there.

It has been mooted that a pub on the outskirts of the M25, not between the dates of 7th - 12th July, suggest Thursday 1st July - Sunday the 4th July

Hi UM, Checked out the Malt Shovel today. There's parking for about 50 cars, but from speaking to the Duty Manager, they get very busy Friday and through the weekend. She wasn't able to confirm whether we could reserve parking spaces, but a persuasive call to the proprietor may well do the trick. 01895 812797.

The pub's lovely with food served throughout the afternoon and evening and they have a selection of cask ales. They're very happy to accommodate us by putting tables together, or if preferable, they have a function room upstairs that we can use. There's plenty of outdoor seating and the setting by the side of the Grand Union Canal is lovely.

i had word with my dad we can have the restaurant but car parks for 10 tops if i get staff to not park there and the road is a busy one with double yellow lines, if there isnt a big turnout or its a quiet one your welcome we use his restaurant

Yep, the Malt Shovel looks ideal, the 1st sounds ideal, just check with the Le Mans Classics guys that it does not interfere, Loz?

Classic is a week later so should be fine from there. I'm slated to be at Goodwood Summer Ball that night, but haven't even bought my ticket yet so err... maybe.

Ok girls......I have spoken to Martin of Malt Shovel and I have booked Thursday 1st July. I have told him we want space for up to 15 cars but that figure may go up or down depending on everyone's diary. I need to keep him posted nearer the time.
