Busy mate, here's that panel, not holed but needs some work!

After a wire brushing, clearly some holes

If you can get a new one I would do that, but you may be able to do something with this one if you kill the rust and weld the small holes ...........

Looks better than the one on me car! Will see what the body shop say mate, thank you :) Rust on mine is father spread than that one, and worse.

They do 164 Q4 parts on that link btw

I would go for that new part Nik, if the rust is set in like that, it will only be a matter of time before it comes through again.

Is there any reason why they all rust there?

Water trap I suppose???

Looks to me like the spout vibrates around in there like the old Fiat Regatta used to, that in turn rubs the paint away then a bit of moisture invites the tin worm in....

Funnily enough thats exactly what i did at 7 am this morn :) £30 including postage, looks like they could be extreemly useful :)

daryl still want yours, can't collect tonight now so keep hold of it for me. Will give you a call at lunch

Ha; It was difficult to drive round the unit last week as there were so many Alfas and Maserati parked up! Chuffed he has been able to sort it for me though :)
