Forming the first part of the forum Christmas meeting, we will be having a karting session in or around Milton Keynes.
I have made provisional bookings with two venues as follows...
Formula Fast is in Milton Keynes and close to the hotel we will be staying at.

Northampton Indoor Karting is a little further North of MK.

Although a little further north of MK, I think my preference would be Northampton, as it looks a slightly better venue, and we would have the opportunity to have a forum drive over towards MK following the karting, during which we can stop off at a pub for a late lunch before checking into the hotel. (I'll find a decent pub and post the details in due course)
Whichever venue we choose, the format would be the same, namely a Le Mans type endurance event, similar to last year. This is a team event (between 2 and 4 per team) consisting of a qualifying session followed by a 2 hour endurance race where drivers in each team take turns to drive the kart. I picked 2 hours as, based on 4 in each time, half an hour in a kart on a tight twisty track is more than enough.
For the moment I have assumed between 35 and 50 drivers, as at the top end this is the number of people looking to attend the Christmas meeting, but I will amend that number accordingly as I get confirmations in this thread.
It's not possible to confirm the exact cost per driver, as this will be dependant on the number of drivers in each team, the overall number and the number of karts on track, but it will range from around £45 per driver up to £55 per driver, depending on the final format.
This does not include food at the venue, but this can be added for about £8.00 per head.
Depending on venue, we would need to be there either at 10am or 10.30am to begin the event at 11am. One way or another we should be done by around 1.30 - 2.00pm.
A quick blast over towards MK with late lunch at the chosen pub around 2.30pm (no bad thing, given we won't be eating in the evening until 9.30pm) followed by another quick blast to MK to check into the hotel (see other thread)
Both venues require a deposit in the next week, which given the vagaries at the moment I will pay and then recoup back from all drivers in due course (I'll PM those concerned with my banking details, which are not the same as those previously)
So,.. can I ask for comments on venue quickly please? If I don't feel there's a strong preference towards one or the other, I'll go with Northampton.
Can I also ask all drivers to post their names here please? (for reference I've included the overall attendance list)
