Wouldn’t surprise me if it was the only one as they were rather expensive when Maserati just weren’t selling many QP’s in the UK.

Had a gander this morning, and my thanks to the DL folk for their usual warm welcome.

It's a lovely car although I had somehow expected a more revised interior; it's a few years on from my VI, so maybe it was a case of "ain't broke don't fix it" as it's still a nice place to be. Smokey tail lights look good, not so keen on the red Trofeo vents, but the car stands well on 21" rims. I would love to have it on my drive, but in truth that kind of money brings a lot of choice, and although my man maths say 'maybe' I'll probably stay safe.

Many Maseratis have been underrated over the years, and the M156/157's are no exception to that. Man maths could perhaps get me the Trofeo, but realistically I'll probably pass; that said, if the lottery comes good tonight I'll be back at DL's in the morning - just because, then I'll ring Dicky about his Assetto Corsa.

I’d take the QP over the Ghibli. But I’d imagine it’ll depreciate about £20k a year for the next couple of years or so, hence not a cheap option. For £60k less you could buy a normal QP GTS. Not quite the same car, but pretty close.
It would be interesting to see what DL quote as the GFV on a 3 year finance deal.

The white one at 23k looks a lot of car for the money as well. The new shape was an acquired taste for lots after the ever so pretty car that came before it but they look amazing value for money these days and they are bloody quick to boot. I rather like it in white also.

140k plus for a QP just doesn’t feel like value for me. Now if you got a healthy reduction like I heard of on some models at the time we’re getting it makes more sense. Don’t think many were sold because of how much they were new, the public are still wary of Maserati reliability and running costs and the drop in value as well. History tells us used prices don’t hold up well for Maseratis 4 door and when you see the used one at Dick Lovett has lost hall its value in three years that didn’t change with this model. But as long as owners love them, drive them and enjoy none of that matters.

Now that is a fantastic proposition at that price. That is one **** of a saving on new and the first owner took a bit hit if they paid full asking price. A lot of car for the money that.

There aren't many of us with QP Trofeos so I know who traded in their 2021 QPT (now for sale) for the 2023 model. You are actually looking at depreciation of about £10k a year, which I would say is not bad for any supercar let alone a new Maserati. Running costs are low during the first three years (warranty) but will increase, although I have not had any issues so far in 2.5 years of ownership and 15000 miles (fingers crossed). The fuel consumption is a bit eye watering: I average about 13mpg but it is seldom out of sport mode (to get the unique Maserati noise, which admittedly is hard to hear inside the QP due to its high level of noise insulation). As a Maserati owner I never miss the opportunity to take a detour through a tunnel and open the windows (multi storey car parks are good too)! Your comments are fair but we love them, they keep you humble: I doubt a Lamborghini owner is ever humble. I also believe that with the QP Trofeo you do get a heck of a lot of car, something that is rare (only one or two a year in RHD), the most sublime of V8's (often referred to as Ferrari derived but aside from the forged block it is all Maserati), crazy stuff like launch control (in what is basically a limousine) and 200 mph plus with space for 5 and their luggage (not that I would advocate travelling at that speed with the family on board)!
